Engineering Consultant for an initiative sponsored by the Government of Punjab for a pilot project of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) for a number of brick kilns in the Punjab province. The main focus of my team was the post-combustion carbon capture, and the stability of the MEA solvent when highly polluted flue gases interacted with it. My multidisciplinary team successfully planned, modelled, and put together a demonstration MEA-based CO2-capture plant at the brick kiln. The life of the solvent, MEA, in tough conditions was analyzed. The findings of the project were forwarded to the National Engineering Services of Pakistan for further evaluation.
