Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department also include the daily productivity report.
Conduct random inspection of all rooms, seating areas, public areas and over all hotel premises.
Recruit, schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members.
Maintain the housekeeping budget, summaries and all expenses.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
Knowledge on safety standards within Housekeeping department.
Determines and maintains the department work schedule used to notify staff of upcoming events and ensure proper preparation and staffing for each event.
Ensures the preventive maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
Chief In-Charge for the pre-opening of the hotel
Establish standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff, and plan work schedules to ensure adequate service.
Inspect and evaluate physical condition of establishment, and submit to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
Periodically inventory supplies and equipment.
Read trade journals to keep informed of new and improved cleaning methods, products, supplies, and equipment.
Organize and direct departmental training programs, resolve personnel problems, hire new employees, and evaluate employees’ performance and working relationship.
Maintain records and prepare periodic activity and personnel reports for review by management.
Select and purchase new furnishings.
Evaluate records to forecast department personnel requirements, and to prepare budget.
Perform cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
Supervises the cleanliness, maintenance and the general appearance of guest rooms and public areas as well as other areas designated (front/back) of the house and sees that all Housekeeping personnel are carrying out the duties assigned to them, as per standards of the company. Plans and controls his/her department.
Close co-ordination between Front Office, Engineering, Food and Beverage as well as the Guest Relation regarding regular and especially irregular guest requests.
To maintain the standards of quality and service and facilities in all departments over which he/she has responsibility and authority. He/she is responsible for the overall smooth and economical running of the Housekeeping department.
Assisting the management in supervising and implementing the Operational Standards as well as the Hotel’s internal rules and regulations.
Ensures the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including accurate scheduling of periodical cleaning plans, etc.
