I'm one in a team of 4 managers of this one week summer camp. Our main goal is to give 85 children, from families with lees resources, an unforgettable holiday. As a manager here I'm the one with an overview and final responsibility, I organize a lot of practical things beforehand and my job is to motivate the 45 adult volunteers to make a fantastic experience for all the kids.
To be a part of this manager team i went through an education program with focus on the following topics: communication, teamwork, economy, law, ethic and the psychology view of a conflict.
I'm doing this as a voluenteer and the organization is non-profit.
I have a lot of experience from the elderly care in Denmark. I have taken care of elder citizens in their private home. Both the personal care and practical tasks.
I learned how to: take responsibility, be patient, work together with a lot of different people, have respect and how to show empathy.
My main tasks at Lemlem School:
• Personal feedback for the teachers
• Case classes (8*45 min teaching)
• Teacher training for the teachers in School (2, 5 hours)
• Teacher training for the teachers in Kindergarten (1 hour)
• Giving in my point of view for decision made by the management
