My duties include;
-Identifying critical security locations across the entire forest reserve and deploy personnel in accordance with security guidelines & provide regular monitoring of their operations.
-Instituting and maintaining regular security patrols around the reserve to ensure guards are on duty and to assess security threats from encroachers or fires for immediate action.
-Regularly orienting, monitoring discipline and running daily drills to ensure physical fitness of the guards.
-Managing attendance by maintaining a duty/deployment roster.
-Preparing and submitting for approval all expenses originating from the security section such as cash claims, salaries, allowances, refunds, uniforms, fuel and other operational costs.
-Coordinating the security section with other security service providers based at company premises such as Saracen and Uganda Police force for coordinated activities and synergy in dealing with the security of the area.
-Supervising and monitoring the proper and efficient utilisation of company resources in the security section such as motor-bikes, communication equipment, lighting equipment and others. This includes monitoring motorcycle checklists and logbooks, and ensuring timely and effective servicing and repair of the same. .
-Maintaining of an effective records management system that ensures safety of all security section records both in print and electronic forms.
-Preparing monthly reports to relevant management levels.
- Gathering and assessing intelligence information or reports on potential threats to the forest within the community.
-Taking security initiatives to work with the community members to deflate security threats without “bloodshed”.
-Coordinating with the police, LCs (and relevant community-based organs such as Cattle keepers’ committee) in case of arrests of encroachers and follow up cases to court including identification, assembling and facilitating of witnesses.

• I designed security strategies for the entire housing estate with a population of more than 180 tenants and oversaw the operations of a private security group that is employed at this estate.
• I liaised with the Uganda Police Force, the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces whenever necessary and intelligence organizations to ensure the company is safe & secure.
• Entirely vetted and screened any workers that sought or got employed by the company. • Regularly trained and updated the staff on the new security threats.

Was contracted to provide security to the US forces in Victory Base Complex in Baghdad Iraq. While doing this job I went through all the military ranks up to the level of Staff Sergeant (senior Non-Commissioned Officer), all this was attributed to my performance and commitment to my job. Got numerous skills not limited to managing big squads at a supervisory level. I was required to keep alert and monitor my area of operation, report any suspicious activities within my sector using the secure radio system, commanded the watch tower line specialists, was promoted to Sergeant and given extra responsibility of overseeing Entry Control Points (ECPs), was promoted to Staff Sergeant and deployed to oversee High Occupancy Facilities (HOFs), redeployed at the Al Faw Palace which housed offices of the US Commanding Generals and was in charge of their security in cooperation with the US Army officers. This experience enriched me with so many security details, protocol and more levels of intelligence work. I was required to write daily reports, supervise my troops, keep my troops updated about the threat levels at hand, make daily equipment inventory for weapons, ammunition, binoculars, etc, was required to effectively and accurately report all incidents that took place at my post & actions taken, constantly training my troops for mental and physical alertness, strict enforcement of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) rules among my troops and the US Army, observing protocol of all Commissioned Officers and Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the US Army and generally ensuring that the Commanding Generals (CGs) were operating in a very safe environment.
