I had a team of 50 company representatives across all major growing areas and we were responsible for the procurement of product (mainly kiwifruit) from the growers, and then its successful packing, storage and loadout for export.
1983-87: Field Manager, NZ Kiwifruit Authority
I was part of a team that designed the original Quality Assurance systems and processes for the New Zealand kiwifruit industry. I then led a team of industry personnel and educators in the process of "converting" the key players in the industry to universally adopt Quality Assurance.
