Director - Financial Resources
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for leading a team that oversees Daily Fund Valuation of the organization’s two brands of Mutual Fund Products
Ensure procedures and controls are in place to safeguard fund assets and the Organization
Deal with various internal departments and External Auditors / Clients
Responsible for the preparation of daily net asset value per unit for each series under tight timeframes, with high degree of accuracy given the implications of errors to financial loss and customer impact
Major tasks included
o Capturing/recognizing Income including found from Major Clients (Govt. VIP, International Banks etc.)
o Flow of funds to and from the Individuals
o Oversight of reconciliation with the custodians
Responsible for coordination of Reporting to CEO including
o Participating in the coordination of the Fund Raising event
o Participating in the coordination of the annual audit of the Financial Statements and MRFP for each of the Funds and review of semi-annual the Semi-annual Financial Statements and MRFP for each of the Funds by the Funds External Auditors
o Incorporating all regulatory changes
o Coordination of the weekly factors for each of the Funds
o Coordination of the necessary financial data for inclusion in the Funds Annual Simplified Prospectus and Annual Information Forms
o Any other information required by the regulators
Lead the implementation of the new fund accounting system, Dimension by SAP or any other software
Be responsible for coordinating for all system enhancements required of the legacy and new Mutual Fund accounting systems to ensure the Mutual funds meet their regulatory requirements, business's needs, minimizing risks and maximizing the efficiency of the area
Coordinate all Product developments/enhancements from a Mutual Fund Accounting perspective. This entails working and coordinating with various areas with such initiatives as new Fund/Class Launches, Fund Mergers etc.
Responsible for the documentation and enactment of the Business Continuity Plans - Functional responsibility has been deemed critical and must be in operation within 4 hours of enactment

Responsible for leading and handling a team of 17 members in achieving budgeted goals
To handle administration, coordination and employee relations management for smooth functioning of the department meeting all predefined objectives
Develop and implement strategies including manpower resources, vehicles & appliances mobilization, allocation and monitoring utilization aligned to the company’s overall business plans
Evaluate adequacy of available resources to meet current and future requirements and report position to the Executive Director
Coordinate with all internal departments and ensure achievement of company goals and objectives
Contribute in preparing expenditure budgets and monitor to ensure budgetary compliance
Handle the documentation and recording of all administrative decisions and actions

Responsible for leading a team of 7 in preventive and curative maintenance of plant & equipment
Provide technical support for the mechanical maintenance of rotating - compressors, pumps, turbines & fans and other equipment like valves, cranes and desalination units
Participate in the overall planning and execution of major shutdowns
Support supervisors in troubleshooting and resolving complex or recurring equipment faults
Contribute to the budgeting and inventory control of mechanical spares and materials and determining optimum stock levels
