During my tenure at Jal Engineering Services, I have handled both the positions of Project Engineer and QC Engineer.
Project Engineer: Coordinate site activities with clients and company management, review progress, attend weekly project meetings, prepare relevant documents (schedule, forecast plan, progress report, curve), coordinate with subcontractors and site supervisors, follow up with clients on approvals and extensions, coordinate with safety & security department for closure of safety observations and entry passes.
E&I QC Engineer: Overseeing inspections on E&I Systems, coordinating site inspections, audit ITP, ITR, and RFI statuses, and preparing quality control documents. Daily inspections are conducted to uphold quality standards, while active participation in meetings and document review enables me to approve drawings and collaborate with the quality department for observation closure, maintaining site standards.
• Preparing ITP/QAP for the field execution work.
• IMIR preparation of the incoming material to site and get it signed by the consultant.
• Coordinating cable continuity, loop test, IR test and Hi-pot tesr for client approval.
• Ensuring the installations complies with ISO/IEC 17020:201, IEC 60079-17 standards.
• Inspection of field instruments, control valves, light fixtures, sockets and JBs.
• Responsible for checking of all the material’s quality at site.
• Taking care of the complete handover document.
• Attending weekly quality walk-down with clients.
• Attending and closure of punches during Construction, Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning
• Ensuring that after completion of work as per drawing and specification prior to precommissioning and commissioning handover
• Supervising panel erection and cable glanding activities.
• Supervising the installation of street lighting poles and fixtures.
• Coordinating the material flow and work flow at site.
• Supervising LV & HV cable laying activities.
• Interpretation of piping & instrumentation diagram, Instrument index, I/O tag lists of instruments.
• Continuity, instrument loop checking and IR Test.
• Arranging permits for various site activities and adhering to site safety rules
