• Responsibilities: Team Leader for Level 1 & 2. Coordinating with other team leaders and members to provide support to at risk students. Improving student’s performance on the final must-pass exam. Training students to use apps to consolidate learning.
• Achievements: Provided remedial actions for at risk students, including iPad training for LBD activities. Target of 50% pass was 69% Level 1 and 78% Level 2. Implemented a project “Coffee with the Teacher” 1-1 to develop learners speaking. Self-taught iPad apps to train students on their use as well as to create content for teaching purposes. IELTS training.
Created a course level on a website with CLO, activities, resources and off site practice, including study skills. In the midst of creating an e-learning course on the LMS system
• Responsibilities: In addition to the regular tasks, I wrote Reading and Listening exams for 001 & 002 levels (6 every semester); provided counseling and guidance to Advisees (20 students); gave a presentation to the faculty on “Time Management for successful teaching”, taught Communication Skills without a book by means of creating my own personal class course. Also managed to be in the scanning test team and attended most of the student’s projects, debates, presentations and activities.
• Achievements: Suggested a few improvements to the Academic Dpt. (placement test content, schedule; exams frequency and subjects as well as a book shift which will include blended learning. Of importance was to include a Speaking test not only as a discipline but during the placement, Majors and/or Final exams. Trained 4 Teacher Assistants.
• Responsibilities: Placement test (IELTS) Preparing and delivering lessons, quizzes and exams. Marking and commenting on class, homework and Self Learning projects. Attending staff meetings and professional development workshops.
• EAP for pre and foundation programs. ESP for Biology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business Administration and Management, Translation & Interpretation college students.
• Achievements: Provided feedback on placement tests, classes’ timetables, equipment, books, students’ protocols, time management, etc., as well as teachers’ accommodation, teaching methods and activities focused on students’ motivation in order to reach a higher degree of self-esteem to achieve better performance.
Provided Management with suggestions and feedback in order to standardize procedures concerning interviewing process, visas, orientation, welcome pack, information channels, etc.

• Responsibilities: Level Testing, Planning, preparing and delivering lessons depending on number of students, levels and learning objectives. Assessing progress and performance, and providing constructive feedback. I taught beginners through advanced levels and classes consisted of 4-6 students maximum. Strong focus on efficient e-mail writing, public presentations, contract negotiations, etc. Use some of my own text books and research materials.
• Achievements: High degree of students´ satisfaction because I combine a practical, fun and simple approach to some of their most difficult issues such as phonetics and pronunciation, also helping them overcome the “stage fright” feeling. ESP Defense & aviation
• Responsibilities: Planning, preparing and delivering lessons, grading tests. Assessing progress and performance, and providing constructive feedback and guidance to those with special needs. Communicating with tutors, coordinators, teachers and other professionals.
• Achievements: Maintaining discipline, order and attention in classes of 25 teenagers per group 7 hours a day proved extremely challenging, specially for a substitute teacher. Did preparations for Cambridge University FCE, FCAE, CPE tests, International Baccalaureate and some other Spanish program exams (Logse) within the new educational program. Suggested new techniques to improve and control misbehaving adolescents.
• Responsibilities: Level Testing (IELTS). Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to international students 12 to 18 years old in groups of 8 to 15 students. Assessing progress, performance, and providing positive feedback to those with difficulties. Exams grading and marking. Gave my Teacher Assistant the opportunity to take over 10-15 minutes of my class once a week with some audio/video games. Oversaw study halls and extracurricular activities.
• Achievements: Very high degree of students´ achievement and satisfaction, even from classes that I did not teach, just coached. Assistants´ help excellent for slow or challenging behavioral students coming from sign language countries (China, Japan, Russia, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait). We did some fun games to practice listening, and comprehension skills. Participated in many other pastoral, extracurricular sports or activities like volley-ball, swimming, dancing nights, theater, plays or day or half day trips or excursions to either historical sites or places of interest such as Oxford University, London, Bristol, Windsor, etc. Advised how to save time and money on students´ e-tickets airport runs and how to improve level testing. I have been teaching beginners through advanced levels and classes consisted of either one-to-one or a group of 6 students maximum. ESP Pharmaceutical field, business.
• Achievements: Extremely high degree of students´ satisfaction and achievement because I combined a practical, fun and simple approach to some of their most difficult issues such as phonetics and pronunciation, also helped them overcome the “stage fright” feeling for company presentations and addressed some in-company business issues like how to introduce more efficient cost effective teaching.
Since I started to teach full time I had a number of very large customers such as Tecnicas Reunidas (Initec Group) who are actually building a chemical plant in Jubail, KSA or Deutsche Bank, HQ in Madrid as well. ESP engineering, energy and oil, petrochemicals, banking and finance.
The classes were one-to-one or very small groups of executives needing an immersion course to advance professionally, therefore very focused on communication skills, public presentations and lectures, contract negotiations, writing e-mails efficiently, etc.
English Teacher Residential summer camp. Eduma, Segovia, Spain
• Responsibilities: Waking kids up from 6 to 12 years old, supervising breakfast in a rotary basis. Planning, preparing and teaching English 4 hours daily. Participating and coaching various extracurricular activities such as horse-riding, swimming, theater, games, etc. Communicating and helping other colleagues or monitors supervising children.
• Achievements: Lots of fun for kids and me, which included practicing sports and games outdoor in a daily basis thus introducing English to them in a very entertaining way.
