Delivering tailored knowledge to international students, often with little work experience, on how best to present themselves, and differentiate themselves, to prospective employers.

Working with individual students, both face to face and via electronic communication, to mentor and coach higher standards of presentation.

Considered “transformational” in my impact on the students’ employment chances by the University.

Travelling frequently in the USA, the UK, Ireland, Spain and Poland, I supported as generalist HR business partner the international divisions of this growing company. In addition to providing specific support to several countries, I also implemented global policies.

Selected Achievements:

Successfully organizing biannual Global Talent Team meetings, designing the program and progress chasing agreed actions.

Delivering in partnership with external advisors (including PwC, Deloitte and Heidrick & Struggles) improvement projects including a new performance appraisal system, talent management policies, a mobility project, a HR audit and salary market surveys.

Sensitively handling the diplomatic challenge of a deferred compensation plan for Senior Managing Directors.

Adding a HR perspective to the bank’s investor relations activities, addressing several shareholders’ meetings on innovations leading to potential long term benefits.

Leading on international mobility policies and bespoke program design for senior executives and high value professionals, tacking personal, family and work issues.

Identifying colleagues willing to consider, and suitable for, expatriate roles by designing and implementing an online career self-service system, increasing the bank’s knowledge of its own staff.

Building several onboarding systems, from graduate to senior levels, increasing the initial productivity of colleagues by introducing them to key people and policies and the capabilities of the business,

Successfully designing non-financial incentives to foster key staff retention, including tax efficient child care schemes.

Leading (with the Head of Research) the bank’s graduate recruitment program, ensuring a continual flow of young, knowledgeable and analytically competent talent.

Creating an internship scheme for the bank in London including solo and project based learning, leading to value added to the business in numerous areas including Research, Trading, Fixed Income, Market Relations, Operations and CSR

Implementing several successful projects to spread e-learning and other modern, flexible, blended learning training methods across the bank.
