With a total production mass 600, 000 m3/day and with overall cost 600 million L.E
The water treatment plant is located in Elmarg and the intakes located on El-Ismailya water canal. The project, with estimated area is 450m X 50 m consists of:
New intake 2Ø1800 mm for raw water beside the existing intake of Moustorod water treatment plant.
Raw water pumping station beside the new intake with 8 pumps 1350 l/s each (6 working and 2 stand by)
2Ø1800 mm prestresed concrete pipes to convey the raw water to the treatment plant with overall length 14 km.
6 clarifiers, 2 distributors and 20 filters with up to date technology are assigned to treat the raw water.

treated water pumping station with 8 pumps 1200 l/s each (6 working and 2 stand by)
scum collecting tank
1Ø1000 mm ductile iron line with overall length 4 km to discharge the scum to El-Ismailya water canal in case it is forbidden to discharge by gravity on filters.

2-T.A.S. submitted detailed quarter reports for the Funding Agencies (IDA & IDFA) review, summarizing Project Operations and utilization of Project funds - TAS will maintain and monitor the cost of sub- projects and physical works.
3-T.A.S. would be responsible for monitoring the efficiency and quality of sub-projects evaluation system.
