at the Computer & Internet Unit:
Computer Networking, &Wireless.
Projects:
Wireless Network:
- As part of planning a wireless LAN deployment, we needed to define the tasks
necessary for completing the project and Understand as much as possible about
requirements, such as needs of users and facility composition, and so on.
- The design produces a definition of how the wireless LAN will satisfy
requirements. This includes technical elements such as developing the system
architecture, identifying standards, selecting an access point vendor, specifying
antennas types and so on.
- Feasibility. Once the requirements and design are known, it may be worthwhile to
perform a feasibility analysis before spending the money to purchase components
and install the system.
- Development. Some wireless applications require the development of client
software to implement certain functions.
- Installation and Testing. The installation should be a smooth process. The design
should specify where to mount the access points. It's generally best to place the
access points as high as possible, but be practical. Also, consider using Power
over Ethernet (PoE) to run electricity to the access points.
- Operational Support. Before allowing users on the network, ensure there's
definition and activation of adequate operational support. This includes elements
such as trouble resolution, periodic maintenance, and system monitoring. As a
result, define enough details of the support elements.
- Finally we follow up the wireless LAN configuration and settings and have
appropriate test tools to effectively troubleshoot and fix problems.
Restructuring our main Network:
 Steps outlined below:
- Create New Vlans for the New Private Ranges.
- Create the new DHCP pools for the New IP Ranges
- Assign the same type of permissions to those Vlans
- Make Sure Inter VLAN routing is enabled and you can route between the new and
the old VLANS
- Start Migrating Switch Ports from the old Vlans to the new ones.
Daily Tasks:
 Responsible for gathering, organizing, and tracking the entire network’s software
inventory.
 Installing network and computer systems
 Maintaining, repairing and upgrading network and computer systems
 Diagnosing and fixing problems or potential problems with the network and its
hardware, software and systems
 Monitoring network and systems to improve performance
 Technical support for using wireless.
 Troubleshooting of wireless with user
 Overview of Network Access Protection.
 Check the Efficiency of Security for Network Communication.
 Check the efficiency of network component at NRC
 Check the Efficiency of Network Policies.
 Overview of Network Policies.
 Implement, Manage and Troubleshoot networks, including LANs, WANs
 Self-education
 Evaluate and purchase hardware and software or maintain network operations.
 Implementation duties include lying out and connecting cables between servers
