as Asst. Finance Manager (from Aug’16):
Role: Responsible for group VAT compliance, internal audit, cost optimization, cash management of retail stores, process automation and streamlining internal control.
Accomplishments: Led the UAE VAT implementation team, automated the sales and cash reconciliation process using SharePoint and Excel Macros, Automated the Insurance declaration and claiming process.

Role: I was responsible for borrowing strategy, banking relations, accounts payable, Capex funding, cash flow forecasting & planning, cash management of retail stores, payroll processing, and monthly MIS.
Accomplishments: Renegotiated the USD import line of credits instead of AED to take the benefit of spread in benchmark rates, reduced the lead time for cash reserve from 7 days to 2 days, shifted all the cash payments to corporate credit cards, streamlined and automated the petty cash payment accounting.

Role: My responsibilities included producing quarterly investor accounts, executive summary, investment schedule, statutory financial statements as per IFRS, calculation of GP management fee, income allocation statement for partners for tax purposes and supporting new ERP Implementation.
Accomplishments: Successfully migrated the fund accounts to eFront system, automated the quarterly Investor report generation with the help of IT, streamlined the prepaid and accrued expenses accounting.

Role: My role as a portfolio accountant included accounting portfolio investments, fee income, interest income and divestment transactions of portfolio companies. Also, we were, preparing drawdown notices on LPs, reviewing and processing the investment payments.
