• Manage daily operations of a state-of-the-art construction and building
materials testing laboratory comprising 8 specialized sections: Asphalt;
Soil & Aggregate; Cement & Concrete; Metallurgy & Building Materials;
Tile Testing; Plastic & Pipe Testing; Paint; and Sanitary Items.
• Supervise engineers, chemists, and technicians through structured
training programs, evaluate & monitor their competence, and authorize
them to perform specific tests based on demonstrated competency.
• Conduct technical review of all client inquiries received through the sales
team, confirm the laboratorys capability to perform the requested tests,
and prepare CRM/profile analysis to support the sales team in
generating accurate quotations through ERP System.
• Prepare and implement the Proficiency Testing (PT) Plan and ensure
strict adherence to participation schedules and result evaluations.
• Oversee verification of test methods, including measurement uncertainty
calculations, intermediate checks, and functional checks.
• Manage calibration, preventive maintenance, and functional reliability of
laboratory equipment.
• Develop and implement procedures for sampling, handling, and testing
of materials in accordance with ASTM, ISO, EN, and BS standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, including
documentation, internal audits, corrective actions, and continual
improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to
deliver accurate, timely, and reliable test results.
• Review and approve technical reports, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and
compliance with client and regulatory expectations.

• Preparation, amendment & implementation of Project Quality Plan (PQP) & Quality Procedures as per project scope and requirements
• Responsible to assign duties to QAQC Staff in order to run the project QAQC activities smoothly and to ensure the project activities are being carried out as per the project specifications and quality requirements set out for the project.
• Remained responsible to study project documents such as project specification, IFC drawings & BOQ in order to arrange, review and approval of Material Submittals Requests (MAR) and Pre-Qualification Documents (PQDs) from the suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Responsible to ensure material sampling and testing frequencies have been complied as per the requirements of QCS 2014 and Project Specification.
• Preparation of Method Statement and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
• Responsible for ensuring all the Monitoring Logs such as material testing log, MTIN logs, MIR Log, INR logs, document submission logs etc are updated and maintained.
• Follow up with Third Party Laboratories for Test Reports and duly submission of the same, after review and interpretation to ensure compliance with Specification, to GEC Consultant for their final review and approval.
• Responsible for facing Audits from Client’s Auditing teams such as Ashghal Quality & Safety Department (QSD), Ashghal Road Project Department (RPD), ANAS & GEC and disposal of NCRs within targeted dates.
• Responsible to take action for the issued NCRs by analyzing the root cause of the non-conformances and duly proposing correction and corrective actions.
• Attending progress and handover meetings with GEC & PWA on behalf of QA/QC Department.
• Responsible to prepare schedules and conduct Internal Audits, and trainings as per project requirements of the project and ensure all NCRs, CARs, Observations have been disposed- off timely
• Liaise with sub-contractors to guide them follow the project quality requirements and for the completeness of QA/QC required documentations.
• Responsible for arranging Plant Trials and Trial Mix of Asphalt, Sub-base, Road Base, Concrete etc. in order to get approvals prior delivery to the site
• Responsible for handover of the projects such as arranging inspections & submission of handover deliverables to end-users in the likes of PWA ROMD, PWA DNOMD, QNBN, OOREDOO, Civil Defence & MOI.
• Liaise with GEC & PWA Handover Coordinator to smoothly handover the projects.
• Attending progress and handover meetings with GEC & PWA.

• Developed, implemented, and maintained Project Quality Plans (PQP),
Quality Procedures, Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans
(ITPs) in alignment with project scope and specifications.
• Supervised QA/QC teams to ensure all construction, inspection, and
testing activities complied with approved ITPs, Method Statements, and
project quality standards.
• Reviewed and approved Material Submittals (MARs) and Pre
Qualification Documents (PQDs) from suppliers and subcontractors prior
to consultant submission.
• Ensured compliance with QCS 2014 and project specifications by
monitoring material sampling, testing frequencies, and documentation.
• Led internal and external audits (Ashghal QSD, RPD, ANAS, GEC),
ensuring timely closure of NCRs through root cause analysis and
effective corrective actions.
• Coordinated with third-party laboratories for material testing, report
verification, and submission to consultants to ensure specification
compliance.
• Represented the QA/QC department in progress, technical, and
handover meetings with GEC and PWA to ensure seamless project
execution.
• Directed project handover activities, including inspections and
submission of deliverables to authorities such as PWA, QNBN,
OOREDOO, Civil Defence, and MOI.

• Making and reviewing method statements for various construction and concrete activities at site and preparation of ITPs.
• Reviewing and verification of weekly reports from third party testing and inspection laboratories.
• Scheduling and witnessing of material sampling & testing. Interpreting results of asphalt, bitumen, cement, concrete, soil, aggregate and steel tests to determine compliance with the project specifications.
• Reviewing product submittals and pre-inspection of incoming materials to ensure delivered materials to the site conforms to specific requirements.
• Monitoring crusher plants, Saudi Ready Mix plant and Al-Falah Ready Mix plant at project site and responsible for handling all activities for (related to) mix design approvals such as scheduling trials, witnessing, interpretation of results and documentation.
• Marinating monitoring logs for casted structures, product inspection and materials testing.

• Prepared and reviewed Method Statements and corresponding Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for various construction activities in line with project scope and specifications.
• Reviewed and verified weekly reports from third-party testing and inspection laboratories to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Scheduled, coordinated, and witnessed material sampling and testing activities in accordance with approved ITPs and project specifications.
• Interpreted and validated test results for asphalt, bitumen, cement, concrete, soil, aggregates, building materials, and steel to confirm compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Reviewed material submittals upon delivery to site, verified conformance with approved documentation and specifications, and initiated Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to consultants.
• Monitored crusher operations and ready-mix concrete plants (Saudi Ready Mix and Al-Falah) for mix design trials, approvals, and documentation, ensuring consistency and quality control.
• Maintained material monitoring logs for deliveries, sampling, and testing in accordance with specified inspection frequencies.
• Ensured zero NCRs related to materials by implementing robust quality procedures and promoting best practices across all site operations.

• Managing all testing and inspection activities of building materials section, asphalt section, concrete section and metallurgical section of construction & building materials lab.
• Supervising and training of technicians and inspectors when required as per the instructions of technical manager and lab manager.
• Preparing work instructions/work procedures, work sheets and report formats as per applicable standard for newly added facilities.
• Involvement in internal audit activities as an active member of internal audit team. Performing internal quality audits as per ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard.
• Responsible for the on-schedule performance and documentation of all analysis assigned and MAKING conformity test report to the technical manager.
• Inspection of asphalt batching plants, concrete batching plants, crusher plants and different building materials production plants as third party inspector.
• Responsible for widening the testing scope of building materials testing lab under the supervision of technical manager.

• Managed all testing and inspection activities for the Metallurgical, Building Materials, and Asphalt sections of construction and building materials laboratories.
• Supervised, coached, and trained technicians and inspectors according to guidance from the Technical and Lab Managers.
• Prepared work instructions, procedures, worksheets, and report formats for new laboratory facilities in compliance with applicable standards.
• Actively participated in internal audits as a member of the audit team to ensure quality management system compliance.
• Ensured timely execution, documentation, and reporting of all assigned analyses, preparing conformity test reports for the Technical Manager.
• Conducted inspections of asphalt batching plants, concrete plants, and building material production facilities as a third-party inspector.
• Expanded the testing scope of the building materials laboratory, enhancing capabilities under the supervision of the Technical Manager.

• Monitoring the quality of soil, concrete, asphalt and reinforcement bars, supplied on site, by proper testing at regular intervals as per project specifications.

• Carrying out visits to plants to check the quality of asphalt and concrete.

During my internship I worked in production line of the company with engineers of production film line. I was also responsible for researching and suggesting solutions to minimize leakages of steam and hot water in the rotary joints and Temperature Control Unit (TCU).
