As a general surgeon in Dubai, I was tasked with furthering the laparoscopy department and have been performing all basic laparoscopic surgeries including appendicectomies, cholecystectomies, adhesiolysis and inguinal and ventral hernias. Additionally, I trained the gynecologists and initiated gynecological laparoscopic surgeries including laparoscopic ovarian cystectomies, hysterectomies, myomectomies and laparoscopic surgeries for ectopic pregnancies, endometriosis and also operative hysteroscopies.
