Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing IT Infrastructure & operations of the group by implementing, securing, monitoring,
measuring and reporting of IT Quality Assurance. Heading a key team of IT managers, System administrators,
Initiating routine and preventative maintenance at the company, formulating and implementing
disaster recoveryplans and spearheading organizational change management initiatives.
□ Imparting user training on various platforms and best resource usage practices, recommending
employees for trainings, supervising the activities of network engineers, system administrators and
hardware technicians within the company, branches and sister concerns.
□ Undertaking responsibilityfor yearly appraisals of the network engineers and technical support
personnel and introducing a number of competencyand capacity building measures.
Oversaw IT management and peripheral maintenance across all departments of the group, monitored
performances of the mainframe, system infrastructure and ensured that all operational processes went
on smoothly.
□ Performed administration of Windows NT 4.0, Novel Netware 4.10 and Windows 2000 servers serving
more than 700 users on various platforms and applications.
□ Maintained a total of 20 servers spread over the local and remote sites comprising of 2 Lotus Notes
servers, MS proxy server, web server, Wingate, terminal, file & print, SQL 2000, fax and RAS servers.
□ Managed the installations of Cisco Routers across 800, 1600, 2500 and 2600 series in addition to
working with Cisco pix 515/520firewalls.
□ SetupWAN using frame relay, dialup, and wireless technologies, configured and installed
3COM manageable switches, modems and internet gateway routers.
□ Rendered assistance to all technical engineers under purview on various network, hardware
and communication related jobs in addition to training them on more complex assignments.
□ Configured and setup HP and Canon network printers on windows and AS400 mainframe printers using
protocol converters, maintained all switches and ensured ports connectivitythrough web enabled
software.
□ Administered enterprise use anti-virus products such as Norton, McAfee and Trend Micro in addition
to communicating with all vendors for link and device failures which were under warranty.
□ Migrated network from Novel 4.10 to Windows NT 4.0 and later to the Windows 2000 active directory.
