Project Manager for the Services Global Delivery business unit of Microsoft in India
Project Manager for the Global Service Delivery business unit.
Specific duties are delegated by the Consulting Program Directors depending on the project. These normally include creating the Project Management Plan during project inception and ensure that the plan is implemented through the project life cycle. Some specific tasks in the project management knowledge areas include
• Manage projects with revenue > USD 10m per year and team size > 25 people
• Financial Management - Budgets, Revenue Forecasts, Financial plans, Project Profitability Calculations, Margin Analysis, Invoice Reconciliations, Project Managers Workbench (PMW), Time & Expense reconciliations and analysis.
• Resource Management - Create and maintain project Staffing plans, Statement of Work for sub contracted resources, Resource Forecasting, Sub-contractor management and over-sight
• Work Management - Prepare project schedule and dynamically track the schedule on a weekly basis. Reporting of earned value parameters to senior management.
• Communications Management - Project Progress Reports to Senior Management and Clients, Metrics, Analysis and reporting. Implement collaboration tools for effective project team communication
• Risk and Issue management - Define processes for issue and risk management. Track, manage and report risks and issues on a weekly basis.
• Scope Management - Identify scope and key deliverables and track through the project. Define and implement configuration management policy for the deliverables.
• Quality Management - Define the quality management plan ensure the project team adheres to the quality processes and implementation methodology.
Managed marine automation and power plant simulation projects for the Defense and power sectors with revenues > USD 20m and team size > 20
• Plan & execute projects to meet triple constraints of cost, time & quality
