KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
❖ Supervising and monitoring the entire procurement of Maintenance Repair Operational Spares (MRO) such as all Instruments (Distributor Control System (DCS), Triconex - Safety Instrumental System, Vibration Monitoring System, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Field Instrument), , Analyzers (Gas Chromatography, Oxygen, Moisture, Hydrogen Purifier, Total Organic Carbon, Analyzer Shelters) and Gauges and its spares
❖ Handling projects as required for engineering and construction as well as technology departments at EQUATE
❖ Long Term Strategy with various manufacturers for supply of equipment and spares
❖ Managing mechanical items, pumps and its spare parts, valves and actuators, reconditioning activities of rotors, valves and bearings, etc. procurement in line with strategic approach
❖ Working in atmosphere of empowerment, having independent authorities to take decisions within allocated boundaries
❖ Hands-on exposure in detailing with Shipping Documents, Clearance and Logistics

Worked with Mechanical Group for procurement of all Mechanical, Compressor, Pump Spares, Retrofit Job including export and import of heavy spares for conditioning.
Responsible for all procurement activities including negotiation with suppliers, communication in proper way, following for delivery as well as payments.
Worked in the full capacity of BUYER in Procurement & Warehouse Division of Qatar Steel Company Q.S.C., (A Government Organization in Qatar) since June’2001. QASCO is an integrated steel plant having Direct Reduction Plant, Electric Arc Furnaces (1~3), Continuous Casting (1~3), Rolling Mills for producing various grades of Steel Billets and Rods (with different sizes).
Hands on experience on ORACLE System (11i) under “Enterprise Resource Planning” (ERP) programme.
The job involves all purchasing/procuring activities like floating of Enquiries, Receiving Quotations, Evaluation of Quotations, Correspondences with the suppliers for various purposes, releasing of Purchase Orders/Service Orders, follow up for delivery of material, releasing of payment to the supplier at a stipulated time, etc.
I was solely responsible for the complete procurement, conforming to user’s requirement as a single point contact.
Handled the procurement of Spare Parts and Consumables of all types, Production Consumables and Engineering Items such as Sleeves, Thermocouples, Heat Exchanger Tubes, Tungsten Carbide Rolls, Rolls for Rolling Mill, etc. The end user of these requirements are production and maintenance departments both requirements.
The Job involved secretarial work, independent handling of correspondence, complete office administration, co-ordination with various suppliers, end users. Exposure to import was also an important part of my assignment. Operating experience of MS-Office 97 and 2000. Conversant with emails and internet techniques.
Interdepartmental correspondence as well as with vendors as follow up activities for the procurement related functional responsibility, maintaining the files. Involved in procurement activities of Chemicals, Catalysts, Additives, Gases, Lubricants, Laboratory Chemicals and Glasswares, Packaging Materials and Ancillary related work viz. preparation of Delivery Orders for issuing the granules to the Ancillary Units and Processors. Also assisting in Disposal Activities of Scrap and Surplus material.
Worked on SUN SOLARIS Environment ORACLE 8i based On-Line Integrated Materials Information System (OLIMIS) for procurement related function responsibility starting from processing of Indents to floating the Purchase Enquiry to Processing of vendors quotation and thereafter releasing Purchase Order based on the Technical and Commercial evaluation of offers and subsequent recommendations given by the Purchase Committee.
Contributed in preparation of Quality Control Procedure (QCP) of Materials Department for acquisition of ISO-9002 Certification for PP (Poly Propylene) and LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) Plants, IPCL, MGCC, Nagothane, India.
Also contributed in preparation of Operation Control Planning Procedure Manual (OCPM) of Materials Department for acquisition of ISO-14000 Certification for IPCL, MGCC, Nagothane, India.
