Planning & Budgeting
 Preparing and Analysing budget, forecast and business plans
 Issuing forecast/budget timetables and ensuring Corporate deadlines are met
 Verify budget proposals received from the support departments, critically analyze them
and ensure that they are rational, logical and complement the business plan for the
forthcoming business plan and update in budgeting tool.

 Assume responsibility for maintenance of all records related to budget and financial
statements preparation, modification, monitoring and reporting
 Consolidation of Annual Group budget and financial statements at Dubai World level.
 Carry out monitoring of budgets; scrutinize purchase proposals and ensure that the
relevant department/BU has adequate provision for the expenditure.
 Preparing & analysing 13 weeks’ cash flow
 Attend the monthly cash flow meetings with senior management and discuss on BU’s performance

 Provide support to entities in terms of ensuring compliance to IFRS, introducing new reports and
templates for better financial monitoring and control and suggesting changes to existing reporting
structure as and when required.
 Business review presentations for the management on monthly basis. This included commentary
on overall business performance, KPI’s achieved and highlight critical issues.
 Timely preparation of Management Reports.
 Preparation of various statements, reports & schedules as per the requirement from
Internal & External Auditors and Management
 Interacting with internal & statutory auditors for conducting audits; evaluating internal
control systems and implementing necessary corrective actions.
 Preparation of MIS reports to monitor movement of key business indicators and assist top
management in critical decision making process.
 Closely working with various international reputed consultants during financial crisis time (KPMG,
Deloitte, PWC and E&Y)
* IT
 Implementing Hyperion Financial Management Reporting systems which include maintaining the
mapping and integration of chart of accounts with HFM reporting tool ensuring integrity
 Implementation of Oracle Budgeting Module work include mapping account codes,
creating/maintain the multiple budgeting period/version and Organisation structure.
* Taxation
 Implementation of VAT project, Preparation of VAT Registration and returns in UAE
 Preparing and analysing the tax returns for US, UK and Australian tax along with reputed
international tax consultants such as Friedman, E&Y and PWC.
* Payroll
 Processing Payroll for 200 + employees at Dubai World level
 Salary forecast to BU’s based on the forecasted headcount.
* Others
 Implementation of Internal control systems / Policy and procedures
 Involved in company formation from incubation stage to form a separate Business Unit. Few
example of the business units are Nakheel, Limitless, Istithmar World, DMCC, Jumeirah Golf
Estates, Dubai Trade, World Security and Dubai World Aviation.
 Handling payments to vendors and various in-house expenses, ensuring optimum
utilisation of available funds.
 Reconciliation of supplier’s statements with company books.
 Follow-up with clients for various receivables.
 Negotiating with various banks for better interest on Fixed Deposits
