I joined National Bank Of Oman, Corporate Banking, a leading bank in Oman as Senior Corporate Relationship Manager, in 02/2016. I worked with Corporate Clients.
I worked at Corporate department and managing advances portfolio for maximization of profitability along with addition in volume of deposit & foreign trade business. Our advances portfolio is diversified in Corporate/Commercial segments and relationships operate in various industries including chemicals, steel, real estate, logistics, construction & merchandising.
•Managing a team of marketing and sales for achieving increased growth & bottom-line profitability and initiating market development efforts in industry like manufacturing, Education, health, trading and projects, etc.
•Selecting credit clientele in Corporate sector, in accordance with Central Bank’s regulations, Bank’s credit policy & credit marketing plan.
•Retaining the clients through extending excellent customized services and marketing the new clients for growth in Asset base, Deposits and Foreign Trade business of Bank.
•Identifying financing needs, including working capital, project finance and trade finance. Vast experience in contracting business.
•Maintaining records and conducting detailed financials (through spread sheets & score cards) and qualitative analysis of potential borrowers to assess credit worthiness.
•Negotiating loan pricing & securities/collaterals against proposed financing facilities according to customers profile, risk appetite and competition.
•Drafting credit proposals and tracking through a follow up until sanctioned.
•Ensuring timely disbursements of sanctioned credit facilities through proper credit documentation and liaison with Credit Administrative Department.
•Making frequent client calls to ensure and monitor optimum utilization of extended financing facilities and business activity and for maximization of business share for my bank.
•Develop optimal Remedial Plans for complex non-performing corporate or consumer financings, after careful evaluation of the account conduct, documentation, client’s profile, collateral, securities, financials and cash flow projections, operational aspects concerning security documentation and related concerns Branches/Areas.
•Conducting regular risk profiling of borrowers through reviewing client’s repayment behavior, account turn over, security perfection and business reciprocity in line with industry and market situation to avoid any addition in nonperforming / low yielding assets at an early stage.
•Maintaining close liaison with other financial institutions & related parties through effective social networking.
•Preparation of various credit related reports & MIS for review by the higher management.
•Leading, managing & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in business operations & meeting of revenue targets assigned to credit department & branches.
•Supervision of credit operations transactions being performed at branches.
•Supporting and timely inputs to bank staff, trade desk officers and controlling offices for helping leverage existing relationship with the client and bringing additional business.
•To review Credit Line Recommendations of allocated Areas/Segments to ensure conformity with Bank’s policy & identify potential credit problems/deviations.
•Ensures that bank’s credit policy and all regulatory requirements are being followed at the time of sanction /renewal. Suggest, complement and help in devising and improving policy and Adherence & implementation of all related Prudential Regulations and Institutional Risk Management policies.
•Provides an ongoing assessment of credit risks in the product and portfolio strategies.
•Advises credit and loan personnel on the Bank’s overall lending policy, keeping in mind significant market trends.
•Recommends credit limits and authorizes credit risk exposures up to allocated limits of authority.
