Responsibilities
o Coordination with electrical, fire alarm & fire fighting subcontractors to complete work within
planned time frame
o Installation of HVAC system including chillers, pumps, AHU’s, FAHU’s, FCU’s, valves, and
pipes
o Flushing of chilled water system statically and dynamically
o Installation of water supply systems for mall building and outlet stores including pumps, water
meter cabinets, isolating valves, PRV’s, HDPE, uPVC high pressure, and PPR pipes
o Installation of solar systems including solar collectors, tanks, and pumps
o Installation of drainage system for 53 outlet stores and mall main building including gully
traps, grease traps, and manholes
o Installation of AC condensate drain system for irrigation purposes
o Installation of storm water system including, top and side road gullies and manholes
o Obtaining consultant approvals for all delivered and installed items
o Preparing complete detailed bills for DM submission on re-measureable basis.
o Accomplish cost and technical comparisons for MEP equipment and materials to determine the optimal make among the specified ones
o Prepare shop drawings of MEP works including all services, slab builderswork, and coordination drawings
o Request and rearrange submittals of MEP works including submittals for MEP equipment and materials as per specifications and project requirements
o Follow engineering works with consultant to obtain approvals
o Work out quantity of various materials and coordinate with foremen, supervisors, project manager, and purchase department for procurement
o Ensure safety is practiced at site, any safety hazard noticed to be reported to safety officer and concerned personnel at site
o Prepare daily activity reports
o Follow up and chase the site staff to complete project as per target program and in budget cost
o Monitor the work in progress with reference to the approved schedules / milestones
o Contribute in weekly and daily planning of works including coordination of subcontractors and site team
o Resolve discrepancies between field conditions and design plans, recommend methods of resolving complex problems, and submit reports to project manager
o Raise RFI’s to consultant to clear issues and get information at right time
o Prepare bills of quantities and check subcontractors’ bills
o Prepare variation claims
o Contribute in weekly meetings held with consultant and main contractor to present progress of MEP works, and to fulfil consultant / client requirement
o Prepare inspection requests for delivered materials as well as executed works, accompany consultant to inspect delivered materials to the site and construction activities.
o Plan the inspection on priority basis
o Monitor and surveillance of the subcontractors’ Project Quality Plan and Quality Control Program, this includes site inspection ensuring compliance with the approved contract documents, approved submittals, specifications and standard codes.
o Manage filing system, track active correspondence and other relevant files
Design and Estimation Department:
o Performing HVAC calculations for different types of projects including AC calculations using HAP software and ventilation calculations
o Sizing and confirmation of water side HVAC equipment such as chillers, FAHU’s, FCU’s of different makes like Carrier, York, Trane, and McQuay
o Sizing and confirmation of DX HVAC equipment such as FAHU’s, package units, and split units of different makes like Carrier, York, Trane, Rheem, Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, and Samsung
o Sizing of chilled water pipes, and valves
o Sizing of ventilation fans, and confirmation of selected models among different makes like Systemair, Dynaire, Greenheck, ELTA, etc.
o Sizing of air side HVAC elements such as AC & ventilation ducts, grilles, diffusers, and louvers
o Proposing a complete design of HVAC systems (DX and chilled water systems) for projects in tender stage to be estimated
o Estimation of cost of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting works as per given tender documents; i.e. drawings, specifications, and BOQ’s for different types of projects including residential towers, building clusters, villas, hotels, restaurants, banks, sport facilities, workshops, shopping centers, warehouses, etc.
o Preparing of bills of quantities for mechanical and plumbing works of above mentioned project types.
