major responsibilities were Polio Surveillance, Supervision and monitoring of National
immunization Days of Polio immunization, supervision of routine immunization activities,
training of vaccinators. Other responsibilities were training of trainers for training of community
health workers (LHWS), supervision and monitoring of Health Houses (HH) established by LHWs
in community, each LHWs was responsible to cover around 1000 population. Also was
responsible for supervision and monitoring of all health facilities including First Level Hospitals
and PHC level facilities for resources avialbility, service avialbility, performance review and over
all functioning of HF and identification of gaps and issues for decision making to improve
resources. Monitoring of health promotion activities in the district.
