- Provide input to strategic and tactical directions and priorities.
- Leads assigned project design to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost effective management or resources.
- Lead conceptualization of new projects and provide Design input/advice in the due diligence process on potential new projects.
- Manage comprehensive delivery of designated projects within agreed time, scope and budget.

- Attract competent third party developers and build successful strategic partnerships with them for assigned projects with Business Development Team.

- Participate and direct consultants through concept, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction and post- opening deficiency phase.
- Assist in the review of preliminary project budgets and participate in Value Engineering process to assure that overall budget is adhered to.
- Attend design and construction meetings as required to assist in resolution of problems.
- Provide detailed monthly Progress report including payment, budget, and outstanding design issues.
- Manages, develops, and coordinates the design process to ensure that design plans are within functional program, budgetary, environmental and legal requirements.
- Manages multiple projects through interaction with Architects, consultants, and municipality to ensure timely completion of these projects.
- Oversees the building design process to ensure compliance with local and international standards and guidelines by working with design professionals and administrators.
- Establishes and follows a process to identify and select the Engineering firm best suited for each project based on the firms qualifications and ability to meet performance standards.
- Provides engineers with clear and consistent direction with regard to goals and objectives, standards, sites, schedules, and budgets for each project.
- Establishes and follows an effective and efficient design review process to ensure that the design meets the overall goals and objectives for each project.
- Reviews design changes submitted to ensure project remains within budget.
- Monitors project planning and design status to report findings, recommendations and updates.
- Co-ordinate all construction/design matters between the key project stakeholders - Design Team, third party specialist designers and Contractor.
- Manage the review of key milestone deliverable for completion in relation to quality of design, implementation and co-ordination of design changes including Quality Assurance in accordance with the design consultants’ contracted scope of services.
- Manage, co-ordinate and control all meetings in relation to the design to ensure the overall design requirements are integrated into the Project.
- Creating building designs and master plans both by hand and by using specialist computer applications.
- Participate in business development efforts in a significant role in prospective client presentations.
- Consult with Director of Design to determine the scope of work and functional requirements.
- Obtain Municipal requirements and if necessary, conduct research to ensure product is designed to meet guidelines.
- Conceptualize a building design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget and program.
- Development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats in order to express the design intent and communicate to project team, client, and building user groups.
