- Analyze, develop approve and implement procedures and processes within the Unit, and
document according to ISO 9002 standards.
- Before processing any instrument, verify & ensure that customers / correspondents are not
under any sanctions (OFAC).
- Obtain proper prior approvals to add our confirmation to Export L/Cs.
- Record import & export LCs, LGs, loans TRs (Trust Receipts) on bank’s system and
produce customer advices.
- Follow up with foreign / local correspondents to track payment of ODBCs.
- Follow up with customers to provide settlement instructions for IDBCs.
- Examine all import & export shipping documents to determine their compliance with the
LC terms & conditions.
- Negotiate export L/Cs and dispatch them to correspondents by courier after examination.
- Check the account statements on daily basis to ensure that export proceeds are already
paid.
- Manage workflow volumes to comply with delivery standards vs. tight banking hours.
- Use of discretion and expertise within bank’s policy, customer limits and international
rules
governing documentary credit, guarantees and collections.
- Coordinate with Manager Trade Finance for the regular training of team members in
products, procedures and rules to achieve standard quality and productivity standards.
