• Creates, Manages, Analyzes, and maps all types of data.
• Provide GIS and Remote Sensing support to the WRTO Projects, including the development of thematic maps.
• Using Remote Sensing and GIS for estimating biomass and vegetation clearance around Dams Reservoir for water quality assessment.
• Identify and develop new methods of data compilation for water weeds/ water hyacinths along with White Nile from South Sudan border to J. Aulia dam.
• Support in project formulation and undertake other task assigned by the supervisor.
• Identify, prioritize, collate, retrieve, process, and analyze primary and archived spatial data according to the needs and requirements of DIU.
• Create and developed of the Water Atlas Map.
• Capture GIS data in different formats using satellite images, aerial photographs, or other electronic spatial data recorders, digitizers, and other means.
• Using Remote Sensing and GIS for estimating Agricultural field areas and Crop mapping.
• Provide technical support to the development and maintenance of the database applications.
• Teaching Remote Sensing and GIS and their applications in Master Program.
• Provide GIS and Remote Sensing support to the RSSA Projects, including the development of thematic maps.
• Support the analysis of remote sensing data (e.g. satellite images) in order to assess and mapping land use/land cover and LU/LC change in the target areas, undertake ground trothing as needed in order to verify the maps and spatial analyses produced and to determine accuracy assessment
• Using Landsat - Modis data for Flood mapping and risk assessment.
• Using Landsat data for LU/LC Mapping.
• Using Modis data for mapping burned areas.
• Teaching Remote Sensing and GIS and their applications in Master and Undergraduate Program.
• Teaching Geological Subjects in Undergraduate Program.
