responsible for overall direction of all technology functions associated within the PAA. This includes Information Technology applications, communications, and computing services within the enterprise that impact both the enterprise, its products and its customers. As the top technical architect of the enterprise I am responsible for providing a vision of how technology can be applied. These areas include product design, customer interactions with the enterprise, IT operating systems, communications, transaction processing and database administration, compliance with all mandated requirements, the information center, personal computers, electronic and optical storage, and multimedia applications
Responsible for developing and leading a strategically-oriented project management office, with the objective of prioritizing and optimizing the resulting value from the running projects, consistent with the strategy of the company and within the resources capability available.
Major Achievements: -
- Managing one of the leading intergovernmental projects in Jordan that included rendering 23 interactive eServices between 6 of the government inteties.
-Successfully (35% below budget and 1 month ahead of schedule) delving and managing project of pure professional services that included a team of 35 IT professionals delivering eForm for Ministry of Interior in KSA utilizing IBM portal and Process Server (Service Oriented Architecture).
-Successful implementation of a state-of-the art implementation for Service Oriented Architecture eServices utilizing IBM Portlet Factory and Process Server. The project was over 1.5 million with more than 30 IT professionals in a distributed environment (Amman and Dubai)
-Successful implementation of a state of art Internet Banking solution for Small to Medium Enterprises (SME-IB) for one of the leading banks in Jordan. The project team was composed of 23 IT professionals.
-Successful implementation of internal and external Portal for one of the leading banks in Jordan utilizing IBM technology
-Implementation of IBM Security Tier including for one of the leading banks in Jordan. The project was the first to be implemented in Jordan and it is the first bank to install the IBM security tier in the regain.
-I also managed several internal projects to help the organization in providing better project management methodology like:
o Cost Management Module: the project was launched for the purpose of providing management with accurate and objective way of measuring projects’ progress utilizing Earned Value Analysis.
o Risk Management Evaluation Process: which was initiated to move the risk evaluation from being subjective to be measurable and objective process so that project managers can objectively assess the risks and provide the a cost effective mitigation (response) plans.
o Time Sheet Management System: which was launched as a pre-requisite for the having an accurate project costing project.
Managing and directing the development team assuring the delivery of projects are delivered on time, budget and within the contracted scope.
My duties included (over and above normal projects management tasks) delivering the needed design for Projects.
The following are some of the major projects that I was managing during this period of time.
- A sophisticated Loan Tracking System under Oracle for Cooperative Housing Foundation, Gaza, Amman and Washington.
-A comprehensive Insurance System integrated with a full financial and administrative system for General Arabia Insurance Company (GAIC), Amman
-A full and comprehensive computerization for Jordan Loans Guarantee Company (JLGC), Amman; a company that works in the field of Loans Guarantees and management.
-A full-computerized solution to manage Constructions operations for
Medgulf Constructions Co., Doha
Trags Constructions Co, Doha
Silver Cost Co, Doha
-A full HR application for
Arabtech Jardaneh, an engineering consulting company
Al Tajamouat: one of the most repeatable qualified industrial zones in Jordan
-Full computerization for Abu Dhabi Woman Association’s operations that included: a school, Magazine and training center.
-Installation and implementation of a full financial system and production management system for Jordan Pipes Manufacturing Co., Amman.
Manage the computerization processes for a set of three sister companies; Al Ahliya Capital Markets, Al Ahliya Securities and Al Ahliya Fund Management.
My duties included
1-Computerization Planning and budgeting
2-Report to management the computerization needs from the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) and manage the successful implementation of the MSM’s requirements.
3-Help in managing and directing Public Offers.
4- Manage the implementation of an ERP solution that was provided by a local vendor
I started with CRC as a fresh man (Junior Programmer) and over a period of three years I participated in development and implementation of wide variety of IT projects and I managed to improve my position in the company from a fresh man to a team leader.
The following are some of the most important project that I participated in
1-Islamic Bank of Jordan, Amman: as a member of the development team my role included developing set of functions and screens using RM Cobol.
2-Union Industries, Amman: a set of four factories, my role included development, installation, training and implementation for some of the needed modules (mentioning; GL, AR, Personnel, Payroll and IC). Using Access 2.0.
3-For Welfare Association, Ram Allah: development of an a fund management system using VB5.0 and SQL Server 6.5.
4-Hotel Jerusalem International, Amman: A Senior Developer responsible for the development and commissioning of: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Inventory Control with Costing and Reservation Systems. Using MS Access 2.0.
5-Al Masood Travel and Services Co, Abu Dhabi: My duties consisted of re-writing a WANG-COBOL based Travel / Tourism application to a RM-COBOL under UNIX platform. The work included some Business Process Re-engineering to accommodate new procedural and Management changes to be incorporated into the system.
6-Oryx Joint Fund, Muscat: My responsibilities included the support and enhancement of a Portfolio and Fund Management System plus an accounting system under RM-COBOL.
After 30 hours of training I got certified in ITIL Foundation
a 100 hours training course that covered the most important aspects of development using VB. NET and Java Programming Languages
After completing 135 hours training course with Methods Co, I pass the PMP exam to become a certified Project Manager Professional
