• Review Project documents, specification and contract to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project scope.
• Coordinate with Planning Engineer to set up a plan and schedule the work flow efficiently
• Perform design and calculation for civil and structural Steel works.
• Supervised and assigned design drafting tasks to draftsmen for timely delivery of 3D models, general arrangement drawings and fabrication drawings with relevant reports in accordance with international engineering standards and codes of practice.
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate Models and drawings.
• Allocate, prioritize and check the work of draftsmen team.
• Identify material requirements and prepare MTOs and BOQs.
• Prepare cutting plans in order to minimize the material wastage and reduce the ordered materials.
• Coordinate with procurement engineer to select materials, propose the alternatives to client based on market availability.
• Provide assistance and technical support for Production, Fabrication, Procurement, planning and Estimation teams ensuring safe and successful completion of project related engineering activities according to specification, budget, schedule, quality, statutory codes and Company procedures and practices.
• Coordinate, obtain and provide responses for structures Requests for Information
• Incorporate feedback from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.
• Represent design team in meetings with consultant engineers, third party agencies, construction project engineers, professional and technical groups and sub-contractors regarding project activities.
• Coordinate with client for technical issues, variations and deviations in the scope.
• Advice on technical issues related to Design & Construction matters, in order to meet specific project requests.
• Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements.
• Analysis and design lifting beams/frames and provide the technical support for lifting arrangement
• Coordinate with estimation Engineer for tendering by Checking and evaluating design and material requirements.
