DECC is a venue owned by the State of Qatar, supervised by Qatar Tourism (QT). DECC is one of the most versatile and distinctive venues in the Middle East able to host a diverse range of events from exhibitions and conventions to corporate and special events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managed and supervised large-scale and complex events throughout all stages of the event lifecycle.
• Oversaw venue operations, ensuring seamless logistics, contracting, rigging, facility management, security, HSE, F&B, and AV production.
• Implemented strategies to optimize service costs and maximize revenue generation for the organization.
• Developed strong relationships with leading international organizers such as FIFA, Web Summit, Informa, IFP, DMG, Comexposium, and Fira Barcelona, as well as clients, stakeholders, vendors, exhibition organizers, exhibitors, and government entities, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of services, materials, and resources for successful outcomes and business retention.
• Demonstrated a commitment to excellence, delivering outstanding results, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Led various turnkey projects, including the FIFA World Cup 2022 final draw, congress, and ticket sales center, Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition, Qatar Motor Show, Geneva Motor Show, Project Qatar, Cityscape, Book Fair, Milipol Doha, AgriteQ, Heya, DMG Events, Moushtaryat, and live concerts.
Key Responsibilities
• Developed and implemented procurement procedures in line with DECC policies.
• Managed end-to-end procurement processes, from purchase requests to vendor payments.
• Collaborated with all departments of the company to plan and budget annual procurement activities.
• Conducted market research to inform strategic procurement decisions and assess vendor capabilities.
• Led Tender & Auction processes and negotiated contracts with vendors.
• Oversaw purchase request reviews, vendor selection, and bid evaluations.
• Coordinated with vendors to expedite deliveries and streamline invoice processing.
• Maintained a list of preferred vendors and conducted regular performance reviews.
• Since the establishment of the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in October 2015, I have been joined procurement department. I prepared the initial operational contracts for the venue and developed the necessary policies and procedures to ensure the efficient functioning of the department in accordance with company policies and professional standards.
JTC is one of the well-known contracting and construction companies in Qatar and a leader in building projects like commercial and housing complexes, schools and medical facilities, infrastructure, sports arenas, and has been instrumental in the industrial expansion of Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managed procurement for construction materials and electromechanical goods as per project requirements.
• Issued enquiries, evaluated bids, and prepared letters of intent (LOI) for selected vendors.
• Provided technical support to departments on procurement-related matters.
• Coordinated with the accounts department for invoice processing and timely payments.
• Conducted supplier evaluations based on cost, delivery, quality, and service parameters.
• Monitored project material inventories and ensured availability at project sites according to execution plans.
• Main projects engaged in include Dukhan Housing Project Package 09, Construction of 4 New Schools, EPIC for Telecom facilities for Joint Special Forces and Coast Guard in Ras Laffan, and New Doha International Airport - Airlines Operations Facility CP-65.
Maher Al Tite and Brothers Contracting Co is one of the largest electrical-works specialized companies in Jordan, It is one of the approved subcontractors of the Jordan Electric Power Company (JEPCO).
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing cash purchase of electrical and mechanical items based on cash purchase requests from the central store.
• Procuring spare parts for the company’s equipment fleet and light power tools as per the requirements.
• Searching vendor in market for various categories and negotiating goods at the lowest prices & best quality.
• Visiting project sites and coordinating with engineers to understand and resolve their materials related requirements.
YU is a public university, a comprehensive and state-supported university located near the city center of Irbid in northern Jordan. Since its establishment in 1976, Yarmouk University (YU) is considered today as one of the Jordanian, Arab world and the Middle East leading universities in teaching and research. The University consists of 15 faculties offering 52 bachelor's degree, 64 master's degree, and 18 Ph.D. Programs in different disciplines. The university also hosts 12 research and career centers.
