Joined Asiacell as RF Planning and Optimization Team leader and took charge of the South Region RF Planning and Optimization activities along with other tasks I carried out.
Improvement to RF performance and quality according to network target (Key Performance Indicator)
Monitor and improve BSS Software Upgrade / Feature Testing and Analysis of newly Introduced Stats and Features.
Liaise with the different teams in the Network Group for efficient optimization & resolution of network problems.
Daily checking and monitoring of KPI’s on the network in order to improve the KPI of each Base Station within the network.
Checking and calculating the traffic utilization and create plan to improve the traffic congestion rate on the congested cells or sites.
Perform Global drive tests to check the network performance; level, quality, Frame Erasure Rate, C/I….
Preparing Weekly, Monthly report to show the performance of the network and our plan to improve the network in the next weeks or months
Responsible for Radio Network Rollout, Site Planning, Site surveys, Site Identification, Site Selection, Design and RF database preparation as per Coverage and Capacity requirement.
Responsible for Radio and Network Expansion/Enhancement such as Add sector, Double Antenna, Add or remove TRX, Combiner, Repeater and etc.
Perform periodical network drive-test and after the integration of new network element, upgrading, trail of new features, deployment of changes and KPI’s and checking on new On Air Sites.
Prepare nominal plan, frequency, neighbors, LAC, BSC, MAIO, BSIC plans for all 9 South Regions cities in IRAQ.
Calculating link budget calculation in order to plan new sites and consider the prediction in Asset planning tools to have good view for the existing surrounding sites. .
Perform and monitor the coverage prediction on Asset planning tools in order to check the level and the quality of signal on the map before performing drive test.
