Capture market requirements and develop Korea sales strategy for Here Auto/SDK (connected, on-line navigation) and related automotive services (traffic and on-line contents)
Develop corporate partnerships and road-maps to provide and expand future Automotive Connected Services in Korea.
Provide technical strategy and consulting on global connected content (traffic, fuel/EV, weather, on-line contents) and autonomous driving content (HD map, ADASIS).

Led the global launch of Orlando MPV7, Cruze Hatchback and Stationwagen across 130+ markets at
11+ global manufacturing locations including US and China, solving multitude of pre-launch issues
across all functions, including Engineering, Design, Quality and Manufacturing.
Maintain balanced program financial through controlling design/engineering/tool changes (budget in
excess of $20 Mil), leading cost reduction projects (Lifetime saving in excess of $20 Mil) and adding
profitable features to include in the vehicle life-cycle.
Focused the Korean Project team (peak 12 direct reports and 60+ indirect reports) on end-consumer
requirement of major sales region while balancing marketing feature and price of Cruze- resulting in
Car of the Year (COTY) award by NADA, AutoBest and 5 countries.
Managed 3 generations of Chevy Compact cars - Lacetti, Cruze and next-gen Cruze. As core
member of next-gen Compact Car Architecture, representing Chevy customers across Europe and
Asia. Experienced in managing complete vehicle lifecycle from cradle to grave.
Mentored 2 direct report managers, guiding them to promotion to director positions.
Established GM’s strategic portfolio response to Europe CO2 legislation, separating CAFE legal
requirements plans from market competitiveness requirements, through focusing on individual EU
member’s legal/taxation requirement while balancing cost increase.
Starting as Account Manager in Jan.2005, managed all Korea OEM accounts including Hyundai/Kia, GMDAT, Renault-Samsung and Ssangyong
While mainly focused on Electronics products, expanded Korea business by adding Lighting products with new customer, GM.
Managed entire value-chain, including Sales, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Logistics in Korea and overseas operations (US, China, India, Europe).
Established Electronics assembly footprint in Korea to better serve Korea OEM requirements.
During the 2 year expansion, hired over 15 key personnel (sales, engineering and manufacturing) from interviewing over 100 potential candidates.
Starting as Business Planner in Jan.2001, handled quotations for multimedia products, including
Digital/Satellite/MP3 Radio, DVD entertainment system, Voice recognition, Navigation and HMI
(Human Machine Interface)
Engaged all Europe based OEMs on multimedia and infotainment strategy, customer requirements,
legal requirements (including driver distraction) and future technology trends.
Successfully added VW Group and BMW by competitively bidding on key multimedia technologies, engaging OEM’s Purchasing, Engineering, Marketing and Advanced Planning.
After 1 year training in Dearborn at Ford Motor Co, designed core components for instrument clusters
Assisted in many joint Korea-US instrument cluster development projects for Hyundai Motors Co.
