DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• As an electrical supervisor my responsibilities to execute all jobs as per PDO Standards, make sure
the jobs to be carried out under PDO PTW system and HSE targets/plans. Also day to day updating
& scheduling the jobs with maint. Planner/ Co ordinator.
• Inspect & execute 33 KV overhead lines / switch yards corona inspection / Yearly maintenance jobs,
replacing of field isolators / AB switches, cable Fault finding, HV/LV joints and terminations.
• To executive & co-ordinate shut downs for Sub Stations, production stations & gathering stations
and give electrical assistance for operation/electrical/Instrument team.
• As a PTW trained, I worked as performing party/supervising for all jobs assigned to me with
responsible and be alert with process requirement by Radio communicated to job planners/.

Preparation /obtaining work permits according to nature of job and conduct safety talk/analyzing
with co-technicians ( Tool Box Talk )
• Carrying out Planned Preventive, Corrective / Yearly maint. for HV/LV-Transformers
Well knowledge about the various Oil field activities such as Permit systems( Cold, Hot and Entry
Permits) Electrical Isolation, Locking and Tagging Procedures, Hazardous area classification ( Zone 0, 1,
2 etc), Type of protection for the Rig motors(Ex s, d, b, p etc)Gas group(Both IEC and USA),
Temperature Classification (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6), Various types of cables(PVC, XLPE, LC, SWA,
MICC, PILC etc), Earthing, Grid Resistance, Pit Resistance, Earth pits, Earth Megger, Lightning arrestor,
Surge Suppressor, Fire detection systems, MCC, PCC, DB, Bus Coupler, Earth switch, VCB, MCB,
MCCB, ACB, OCB, BOCB, all types of Fuses(HRC, Cylindrical fuses, Fork type, Knife type, Bottle
type, Thyristor type, Glass type, Ceramic type, Kit Kat fuse etc), CT, VT, Over Current Relay, Earth Fault
Relay, Restricted earth Fault Relay, Differential Relay, Full knowledge about the various types of Lamps,
Power improvement capacitor, Transformers, (both OLTC and Off Load) etc.
Hands on experience in the maintenance (Preventive maintenance, Predictive maintenance, Breakdown
maintenance etc) and repairing of all kinds of electrical machines and equipment especially the production
affected machines. Very much capable of making the Preventive maintenance Schedule, checking and
updating of the same by conducting the services in an efficient and professional way. Capable of using all
types of measuring devices such as Ammeter, Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, Clamp-meter.Multi-meter. Megger
, Gas Detectors, UV detectors, Phase sequence meter, Cable route tracer, High voltage test kit
, Transformer oil test kit, Earth tester, Vibration meter, Sound level meter, Temperature measurement
meter (for bearing etc), microprocessor based test relay kits, Cable fault locator kit, Cable injection tester,
