Manager of Online Editorial of http://www.emaratalyoum.com website. On a daily basis, I edit, write and translate news items, as well as supervising the website daily performance. I’m also in charge of the website’s social media accounts: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube accounts, smarts phones and tablets apps as well as heading the developing team of the website. I have good knowledge of HTML language as well. As per Effective Measure (leading audience measurement company in the Middle East), the website is topping the Arabic news websites in UAE and among the best 5 in GCC.
Responsibilities:
• Planning and supervising the execution of the news room agenda on daily basis.
• Supervising the news story production, conducting day to day performance evaluation of the news broadcasted on news bulletins as well as supervising the social media accounts and website updates. In addition to that, I search for stories and assign news producers or investigative journalists to conduct interviews or write news stories.
• Evaluate various trends to finalize feature content selection and layout in compliance to socially, politically, legally acceptable and other company guidelines.
• Ensure compliance to editorial procedures and TV standards in day to day business transactions..
Editor in charge of Araa magazine (hard copy and website) www.araa.ae and the Arabic version of www.gulfinthemedia.com website. I was writing press releases for the Gulf Research Center’s. Coordinating with the media to attend and report all the GRC’s activities, and participating in all conferences organized by the Center. In addition to that, I was in charge of the developing team of the websites.
