Responsibilities
• Preparation of tendering documents (e.g. Costing Sheet, BOM, Risk Review, Technical offer & Limit of supply) for the scope of Protection & Automation System for Substations with high and medium voltage levels (380~13.8kV) in various operational regions in Saudi Arabia.
• Support customers by attending meetings with the end client (SEC), and by replying to technical clarifications related to the bid.
• Prepare the risk review calculation sheet & run risk review meeting with BU management in Switzerland.
• Review technical and commercial terms of the purchase order / Final Contract, and its alignment with the offered SOW.
• Run Hand-over meeting with projects department.
Achievements
• Expedite the tendering process by standardizing the working sheets, and introducing new/automated calculation formulas.
• Handling 22 tenders (including 7 380kV BSPs), offering to the market a value of 420 Million Saudi Riyal within a period of 6 month.
• Provide accurate estimation for various project vague costing elements (e.g. Third party equipment modification work) which lead to reduce or mitigate the risk value.
For a period of 12 month I performed a verity of activities in QC and Engineering departments at ABB Automation Factory in Riyadh.
Quality Control Department
• Perform Panel point to point testing,
• IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Device) Setting, Configuration and Function test.
• Scheme Test for different types of protection system (Distance, Differential, Earth Fault… Etc.)
Engineering Department
• Prepare design Documents (Relays-Panel List, DC-Heat dissipation, Bill of Material, Relay ordering code, Base & Detailed Design Schemes) and submit it to SEC for approval. For 2 x 115kV SS (Khafji-5 & KAAP) and 1 x 380kV BSP (Al-Doha) in East region.
• Attend meeting and Answer customer clarifications.
• Prepare Production documents.
• Prepare a strategic plan to improve and stabilize the performance of ABB PPTR factory service team.
• Plan and coordinate service activities in ABB PPTR (transformers) factory
• Hold management monthly meetings to provide updates about service actions and performance over the month
• Plan maintenance and schedule machine breakdown with production
• Formulate and supervise a Year round preventive maintenance schedule for all machines.
• Perform administrative function in the whole maintenance section.
• Coordinate with international and local suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepares monthly cost reports.
• Directly reporting to the Service Manager.
• Create a service team of 3 well trained service engineers, to support the sales growth in the company.
• Support machine start-up and troubleshooting activities with the other team members.
• Controlling a team; assigning them tasks and motivate them to achieve it
• Sign 5 new service contracts for preventive maintenance and repair.
• Supply machines and support the product of lighting, transformers, doors, ducting system factories and more...
• Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of CNC sheet metal processing machines (Laser, punch, press brake, shear....)
• Organize training on machines operation including GE Fanuc operating system and offline software (Cadman CNC)
• Arrange service visits for technicians from supplier for high level trouble shooting.
