Get the Fiber Testing results from the field and analyze the results using the Acterna / JDSU software (Fiber Cable) and submit it to the customer to get the approval.
Manage the Technical team, prepares schedule, assign and supervise tasks and ensure timely delivery and quality of the all the deliveries.
• Support on all escalated incident from the Field team by analyzing alarms/errors, on the phone/site visit troubleshooting and responsible for initiating and managing escalation between Field Team and the client.
• Schedule, implement and coordinate MDTs and TCN for the corrective maintenance actions on the Fiber Optic Cable.
• Analyzing the fiber test results and send results to the client (JP) and have it approved
• Coordination and attend meetings with the client and clear issues that arise.
• Collaborate with other departments (OSP, QUALITY, CAD…) in investigation and solutions of problems and in other interdepartmental activities.
• Support the OSP department to identify the problem in the Fiber Optic Cable and take the proper action to rectify the faulty fibers.
• Perform any other task as may be designated by line manager.
• Provide various reports on a regular basis to management
• Build close customer relationship, maintaining meeting, reporting and evaluation process.
• Evaluate the performance of the new teams and determine Training need.
• Conducts monthly meeting with all team members and highlights issues and recommends course of corrective action were needed to ensure all members are compiling with SNFN rules and procedures.
• Answering any technical questions that the customer might have.
• Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements in a cost and time efficient way.
• Developing and delivering technical presentations to clients.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to Project Team on inspection levels, materials testing Certification and Handover Documentation.
• Prioritizes the work requests and guides the subordinates / contractors to execute the work.
• Works as a technical expert and consultant for RFTS implementation, enhancement, integration and testing of the solution.
• Plan to enhance the accuracy of the system and checking the accuracy of red line drawings provided by OSP through proper acquisition of coordinates.
• Population the SNFN links in both software’s (ONMS & OFM)
• On-call 24/7 for support pertaining to the RFTS system
• Troubleshooting of problems that arise in the monitored links
• Troubleshoot the unusual failure of the system.
• Closing the opening trouble tickets in the NOC by clearing alarms and carry out root cause analysis of the problems.
• Following up with the OSP to get the Red Line drawings for the links in all the SNFN rings.
• Coordination and attend the meetings with the client regarding the accuracy and progress of RFTS population.
• Periodic maintenance for the RTU’s and OTU’s.
• Periodic maintenance for the ONMS Servers (Primary and Standby).
• Update the software version of the RTU’s and OTU’s once available.
• Make technical reports regarding the faulty units before sending it for repair.
• Following up the process of sending the faulty units from the initial stage to completion.
• Configuration the RTU/OTU in lab before sending to the sites.
