I currently hold the position of Head of Security at KIA Lucky Motors Corporation Limited, Pakistan's first automobile manufacturing plant for KIA vehicles and the pioneering production facility for Samsung mobile devices in the country. Spanning approximately 100 acres, our plant employs a workforce of 1, 500 to 2, 000 individuals.
In my role, I am entrusted with safeguarding both personnel and property at both the plant and all dealership outlets within the country, a task that presents considerable challenges given the prevailing security landscape in Pakistan. The escalating frequency of terrorist attacks, particularly targeting foreign nationals engaged in the country, underscores the critical nature of our security operations. Our plant hosts a permanent team of 5-7 South Korean professionals, with additional visits from South Korean officials occurring on a regular basis. Consequently, my responsibilities extend to ensuring robust security protocols for these foreign visitors, coordinating their movements within the country with meticulous attention to detail and stringent security measures.
Overseeing a security team comprising 57 guards, 2 security associates, and 5 team members, I have successfully implemented comprehensive training programs encompassing all emergency response protocols. Furthermore, I have enforced rigorous adherence to security policies, restored malfunctioning access control systems to optimal functionality, and conducted a comprehensive security risk assessment—a first for our facility.

HUBCO, The Hub Power Company Ltd is the Pakistan’s largest Independent Power Producer with a total power generation capacity of around 3500 MW. My main roles and responsibilities involved safety and security of around 100 Chinese employees, protection of approximately 3000 local employees, protection of the plant and its assets, carrying out risk assessment and planning, managing a security team of around 110 personnel, surveillance and monitoring, emergency preparedness, security protocols compliance, liaising with the law enforcement agencies, information gathering, and investigations and incident reporting.
In administration, I was entrusted with managing transportation and vehicular fleet, messing, lodging and housekeeping, procurement, repair and maintenance and renewing licenses and NOCs.
In corporate social responsibility area, I was bestowed with the responsibility of interacting and coordinating with the locals for provision of drinking water, free education and health facilities and creating employment opportunities at plant for the youth.

Amidst the rugged terrain and volatile circumstances, my responsibilities extended to securing a strategically significant mountain pass that formed a crucial border with Afghanistan. This entailed meticulous route clearance operations to facilitate safe passage for both vehicular convoys and foot patrols.
One of the defining achievements of my tenure in Baajaur Agency was the establishment of a fortified stronghold at the summit of a towering peak, standing at an elevation of 7, 446 feet. This endeavour involved implementing a comprehensive defensive strategy, encompassing the installation of a robust perimeter fence, deployment of advanced early warning systems, construction of watchtowers, observation posts, bunkers, and a chain of underground tunnels. Through the meticulous execution of these measures, we forged a formidable defensive posture that effectively thwarted all incursions and attacks perpetrated by Taliban terrorists emanating from across the border in Afghanistan. This fortified position not only safeguarded our troops and the locals of the area but also served as a pivotal bastion in maintaining territorial integrity.

Through rigorous training and mentorship, a significant number of cadets under my charge demonstrated exceptional aptitude and were selected to serve in various branches of the military, reflecting the efficacy of the training program and the calibre of the cadets nurtured under my guidance.

From serving as Quartermaster to taking on the mantle of Adjutant of the Battalion and eventually rising to the position of Company Commander, each role presented unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
As Quartermaster, I oversaw the intricate logistics and supply chain management vital to sustaining operational readiness along the LoC. This entailed meticulous coordination of resources, ensuring timely procurement of essential supplies, and managing the distribution of equipment and provisions to frontline units.
Transitioning to the role of Adjutant of the Battalion, I assumed a pivotal staff position that involved orchestrating the operational affairs of the entire unit. From personnel management to coordinating training schedules and operational planning, I played a central role in fostering cohesion and efficiency within the battalion.
As Company Commander, I bore the weighty responsibility of safeguarding a designated area of responsibility along the LoC, entrusted with the formidable task of countering infiltration attempts and hostile incursions from the Indian side. This necessitated the implementation of robust security measures, deployment of reconnaissance patrols, and coordination with allied units to ensure the integrity of our defensive perimeter.
Throughout these appointments, I remained steadfast in my commitment to upholding the honour and integrity of my unit while diligently fulfilling our mandate to protect the sovereignty of our nation's borders. The challenges inherent to operations along the LoC demanded unwavering dedication and vigilance, qualities that I endeavoured to embody in every aspect of my service.
