I currently hold the position of Head of Security at KIA Lucky Motors Corporation Limited, Pakistan's first automobile manufacturing plant for KIA vehicles and the pioneering production facility for Samsung mobile devices in the country. Spanning approximately 100 acres, our plant employs a workforce of 1, 500 to 2, 000 individuals.
In my role, I am entrusted with safeguarding both personnel and property at both the plant and all dealership outlets within the country, a task that presents considerable challenges given the prevailing security landscape in Pakistan. The escalating frequency of terrorist attacks, particularly targeting foreign nationals engaged in the country, underscores the critical nature of our security operations. Our plant hosts a permanent team of 5-7 South Korean professionals, with additional visits from South Korean officials occurring on a regular basis. Consequently, my responsibilities extend to ensuring robust security protocols for these foreign visitors, coordinating their movements within the country with meticulous attention to detail and stringent security measures.
Overseeing a security team comprising 57 guards, 2 security associates, and 5 team members, I have successfully implemented comprehensive training programs encompassing all emergency response protocols. Furthermore, I have enforced rigorous adherence to security policies, restored malfunctioning access control systems to optimal functionality, and conducted a comprehensive security risk assessment—a first for our facility.
HUBCO, The Hub Power Company Ltd is the Pakistan’s largest Independent Power Producer with a total power generation capacity of around 3500 MW. I served at its 660 MW coal power plant at Tharparkar as Deputy Manager Administration, Security and CSR. My main roles and responsibilities involved safety and security of around 100 Chinese employees, protection of approximately 3000 local employees, protection of the plant and its assets, carrying out risk assessment and planning, managing a security team of around 110 personnel, surveillance and monitoring, emergency preparedness, security protocols compliance, liaising with the law enforcement agencies, information gathering, and investigations and incident reporting.
In administration, I was entrusted with managing transportation and vehicular fleet, messing, lodging and housekeeping, procurement, repair and maintenance and renewing licenses and NOCs.
In corporate social responsibility area, I was bestowed with the responsibility of interacting and coordinating with the locals for provision of drinking water, free education and health facilities and creating employment opportunities at plant for the youth.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Estate Era and Builders, I held comprehensive responsibility for the entire spectrum of company operations. This encompassed not only the seamless execution of construction projects and strategic land acquisitions but also fostering robust corporate relationships, spearheading dynamic marketing initiatives, nurturing a talented workforce through effective human resources management, and implementing stringent security protocols to safeguard both personnel and assets. Through meticulous oversight and strategic planning, I consistently ensured the timely completion of all projects, often surpassing expectations, while proactively enhancing security measures to address the evolving challenges presented by the prevailing law and order landscape in the country.
At Headquarters Karachi Logistics Area, I assumed the role of Deputy Director of Administration & Security, entrusted with a diverse array of responsibilities. In the realm of administration, I provided comprehensive support services to the entire HQ workforce, overseeing logistics such as transport, catering, maintenance, accommodation, and housekeeping. As the Deputy Director of Security, my mandate extended to ensuring the overall security of the headquarters premises. This encompassed maintaining vigilant security personnel at observation posts, implementing stringent access control measures at all entry and exit points, managing the issuance of gate passes, maintaining a readily deployable quick reaction force, conducting comprehensive training exercises for personnel, developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and liaising with the Corps Headquarters military police, operations, and strategic planning departments for coordinated operational tasks.
I held the position of Head of Administration, Security, and Industrial Relations during my tenure at Hilal Foods Pvt Ltd. At that time, Hilal managed three facilities: the Hilal Food Factory, Domino Pizza, and the Shalimar Factory, collectively employing approximately 4000 individuals.
In this capacity, I was responsible for the efficient management of the company's entire administrative framework. This included overseeing the transport fleet, catering services, facility maintenance, procurement processes, contractual negotiations, governmental relations, and fostering positive industrial relations. Additionally, as Head of Security, I spearheaded initiatives to ensure comprehensive security across all company premises, personnel, and assets.
I led a significant overhaul of the company's security apparatus, implementing measures such as the recruitment of highly skilled security personnel, conducting thorough risk assessments, and introducing innovative procedures that substantially bolstered our security protocols.
At Military Directorate, General Headquarters, my responsibilities revolved around the formulation, execution, and oversight of training policies for all army inland courses. This included allocating vacancies for courses to officers and other ranks, supervising training activities across various army schools and institutions, conducting preparatory training for deployment to combat zones, evaluating and refining training programs, and managing the administrative and operational needs of all army educational establishments.
While serving at the Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, I oversaw a sizable force comprising nearly 300 army personnel. My role was multifaceted, encompassing a range of responsibilities essential to the smooth functioning and security of the premises. This included orchestrating ceremonial salutations to visiting foreign dignitaries, meticulously coordinating guard and security operations throughout the entire premises of the Prime Minister's residence, and ensuring the protocol and protection of very important persons at all times. Additionally, I maintained close liaison with the intelligence organizations and civil law enforcement agencies, fostering seamless collaboration and information sharing to enhance security measures and address any potential threats or exigencies effectively.
As the commanding officer at the President’s House of Pakistan under the administration of Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, I led a team of approximately 300 army soldiers, entrusted with a wide array of responsibilities critical to the smooth functioning and security of the premises. Primarily, my role centered on orchestrating the ceremonial guard duties for visiting foreign dignitaries, ensuring that each interaction reflected the highest standards of protocol and decorum expected at such diplomatic events. In addition to these ceremonial duties, I oversaw the comprehensive protection of the entire perimeter of the residence, employing advanced security measures to safeguard both personnel and assets against potential threats. This encompassed not only physical security but also strategic planning to mitigate risks and ensure the seamless operation of the President's House. Furthermore, I maintained close collaboration with law enforcement agencies, fostering efficient coordination and information sharing to bolster security measures and address any emerging challenges proactively.

In 2011, my longstanding aspiration to participate directly in the combat zone came true when I was chosen to join the troops stationed in Baajaur Agency. Entrusted with the command of nearly 200 soldiers, I led numerous operations and raids aimed at apprehending or neutralizing various terrorist elements. Amidst the rugged terrain and volatile circumstances, my responsibilities extended to securing a strategically significant mountain pass that formed a crucial border with Afghanistan. This entailed meticulous route clearance operations to facilitate safe passage for both vehicular convoys and foot patrols.
One of the defining achievements of my tenure in Baajaur Agency was the establishment of a fortified stronghold at the summit of a towering peak, standing at an elevation of 7, 446 feet. This endeavour involved implementing a comprehensive defensive strategy, encompassing the installation of a robust perimeter fence, deployment of advanced early warning systems, construction of watchtowers, observation posts, bunkers, and a chain of underground tunnels. Through the meticulous execution of these measures, we forged a formidable defensive posture that effectively thwarted all incursions and attacks perpetrated by Taliban terrorists emanating from across the border in Afghanistan. This fortified position not only safeguarded our troops and the locals of the area but also served as a pivotal bastion in maintaining territorial integrity.
During my tenure as Adjutant and Head of Security at Pakistan Steel Cadet College, my responsibilities encompassed a multifaceted role that included not only overseeing the military training regimen of the young cadets but also ensuring the comprehensive security of the entire college campus. In addition to these duties, I served as a key staff officer to the commandant, assisting in the formulation and execution of strategic directives aimed at fostering a disciplined and conducive learning environment.
Over the course of my tenure, I had the privilege of training three successive batches of cadets, during which I meticulously imparted essential military skills and instilled values of discipline, leadership, and camaraderie. This period stands out as a testament to my dedication and proficiency in honing the capabilities of future military leaders.
Furthermore, my role as the Head of Security involved implementing robust measures to safeguard the college premises against potential threats, both internal and external. This entailed the deployment of security personnel, implementation of access control protocols, and constant vigilance through surveillance systems, thereby ensuring the safety and well-being of all occupants within the college campus.
A noteworthy accomplishment of my tenure was the remarkable success achieved in the selection of cadets for military service. Through rigorous training and mentorship, a significant number of cadets under my charge demonstrated exceptional aptitude and were selected to serve in various branches of the military, reflecting the efficacy of the training program and the calibre of the cadets nurtured under my guidance.
In 2004, I embarked on a significant posting to the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir with my parent infantry unit, marking a pivotal chapter in my military career. Over the duration of this assignment, I assumed a series of regimental appointments that underscored my evolving leadership and administrative capabilities. From serving as Quartermaster to taking on the mantle of Adjutant of the Battalion and eventually rising to the position of Company Commander, each role presented unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
As Quartermaster, I oversaw the intricate logistics and supply chain management vital to sustaining operational readiness along the LoC. This entailed meticulous coordination of resources, ensuring timely procurement of essential supplies, and managing the distribution of equipment and provisions to frontline units.
Transitioning to the role of Adjutant of the Battalion, I assumed a pivotal staff position that involved orchestrating the operational affairs of the entire unit. From personnel management to coordinating training schedules and operational planning, I played a central role in fostering cohesion and efficiency within the battalion.
As Company Commander, I bore the weighty responsibility of safeguarding a designated area of responsibility along the LoC, entrusted with the formidable task of countering infiltration attempts and hostile incursions from the Indian side. This necessitated the implementation of robust security measures, deployment of reconnaissance patrols, and coordination with allied units to ensure the integrity of our defensive perimeter.
Throughout these appointments, I remained steadfast in my commitment to upholding the honour and integrity of my unit while diligently fulfilling our mandate to protect the sovereignty of our nation's borders. The challenges inherent to operations along the LoC demanded unwavering dedication and vigilance, qualities that I endeavoured to embody in every aspect of my service.
Serving as a liaison officer at Shahbaz Airbase provided a dynamic and multifaceted role that centred on effective communication and collaboration between the US Air Force/Army stationed at the base and the Pakistani Army and various law enforcement agencies. This appointment not only demanded diplomatic finesse but also offered a rich opportunity for personal and professional growth by engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities.
Furthermore, as part of my responsibilities, I was entrusted with ensuring the security of the outer perimeter of the airbase. Recognizing the critical importance of this task, I implemented a comprehensive security strategy aimed at fortifying the perimeter against potential threats. This involved the meticulous deployment of security personnel, installation of state-of-the-art surveillance systems, and implementation of access control measures at all entrance and exit points. Additionally, I oversaw the vigilance of observation posts and watchtowers along the perimeter wall, ensuring constant monitoring and rapid response to any suspicious activity.
