• My core responsibilities include Identifying environmental aspects and recommending as well as implementing the best possible control measures to mitigate impacts while following a
sustainable approach.
• Developing programs to ensure effective implementation of environmental and sustainability
requirements during all project phases, including mobilization, construction, operation, and
decommissioning.
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly environmental and sustainability reports, covering fuel and water consumption (including potable water), wastewater disposal, waste disposal summary, environmental observations/issues tracker, Weekly Environmental & Sustainability report, Weekly Environmental Site Inspection and Environmental Monitoring. Close-outs of all issues and observations and submitting to the online platform for approval.
• Establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and integrating best sustainable practices into operations, such as waste segregation at the source (e.g., food, plastic/metal, paper), using asphalt waste on interim access roads for dust control, and implementing a waste management program that diverts 80% of waste from landfills to recycling, in line with Qiddiyas Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Approved waste contractors—authorized by MWAN and the client, Qiddiya—are engaged for
the collection, transportation, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. All
waste is managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and disposed of at designated,
approved facilities.
• Managing the chemical storage area in compliance with mandatory requirements, including
appropriate storage locations, chemical compatibility, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS),
secondary containment, hazard identification, and routine inspections.
• Conducting regular site inspections, monitoring environmental parameters, preparing compliance reports and submitting to Qiddiyas online platform. Weekly inspections are conducted in accordance with client requirements. Environmental air monitoring includes the measurement of gases such as SO₂, NO₂, CO, and O₃, as well as particulate matter (PM₀.₅, PM₁.₀, PM₂.₅, and PM₁₀).
• Environmental permits for the crusher, ready-mix, and asphalt plants have been successfully
obtained through NCES, ensuring full compliance with applicable environmental legislation and regional regulatory requirements.
This includes, but is not limited to, energy and fuel consumption, water and
wastewater usage, potable water consumption for dust control, waste generation, transportation, and disposal systems at the project site.
• Developing Construction Environmental & Social Management Plan (CESMP) and other
relevant documents, ensuring they are properly communicated to key stakeholders.

• Toolbox Talks (TBTs) are conducted daily to promote environmental awareness among the
workforce. In addition, weekly training sessions are organized on a variety of topics including:

• Leading the preparation and on-site implementation of Environmental Emergency Response
Plans, environmental awareness training, and other essential environmental control processes.
• Conducting audits, analyzing, and reporting environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies. Promoting awareness at all levels of the organization regarding the impact of emerging environmental issues.

• My core responsibilities include leading COC audits with external auditors, from the opening
meeting and factory walkthrough to the closing meeting. Preparing Corrective Action Plan
(CAP) reports by identifying non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive
actions, providing objective evidence, and ensuring timely closure.
• Managing activities and operations related to carbon accounting, target setting, net-zero carbon
initiatives.
• Liaising with customers to provide updates on progress toward set objectives and targets.
• Conducting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting (Scope 1, 2 & 3) for the Masood
Roomi Group, including Spinning, Weaving, and Home Textile units, in collaboration with Net
Zero Pakistan (NZP).
• Establishing Science-Based Targets (SBT) in alignment with the SBT Initiative to achieve a 25%
reduction in GHG emissions by 2030 and limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C by 2050, in
accordance with the Paris Agreement.
• Implementing and maintaining customers sustainability requirements.
• Developing and executing sustainability plans of the facility.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports and attending clients weekly and monthly meetings.
• Leading compliance team, including certification processes and customer Codes of Conduct
(COC) at Roomi Fabric Limited (Terry Unit).
• Implementing and maintaining fire safety protocols across the facility through routine
inspections and scheduled drills.
• Promoting a strong health and safety culture, ensuring a safe working environment while
meeting COC requirements and regional legal standards.

Conduct (COC) for brands such as Target Australia, Carrefour, Michaels, and Euro Centra.
Additionally, I oversee certifications including SA8000:2014, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, SMETA 4-
Pillar, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, OEKO-TEX 100, STeP Made in Green, BRC, BSCI, BCI,
BEPI, C-TPAT, GSV, WRAP, and environmental compliance.
• Leading external audits, from the opening meeting and factory walkthrough until the closing
meeting.
• Preparing Corrective Action Plan (CAP) reports and close-outs for non-conformances,
implementing corrective and preventive actions, providing objective evidence, and ensuring
timely closure.
• Overseeing the implementation of all customers Codes of Conduct (COC) across Home Textile,
Knitwear, and Denim divisions.
• Managing COC and certifications audits for all sections within the facility.
• Maintaining documentation for Management Systems, ensuring their proper implementation at
the facility, and keeping comprehensive records.

• Implementing and maintaining environmental, health, safety, and social compliance in
accordance with customer Codes of Conduct (COC) for brands such as IKEA, Decathlon, Marks & Spencer (M&S), ALDI, Kaufland, West Point, HanseBrand Inc., Tommy Hilfiger (Sunham), Dunelm, LIDL, POLO Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, and Boardriders. Also ensuring compliance with certification standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, GOTS, OCS, GRS, OEKO-TEX, C-TPAT, GSV, SA 8000, SMETA, BSCI, Sustainable Textile in Production (STeP), BCI, BEPI, Fairtrade, Egyptian Cotton, and SUPIMA trademark.
• Leading annual COC audits with external auditors, from the opening meeting and factory
walkthrough to the closing meeting. Preparing Corrective Action Plan (CAP) reports by
identifying non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions, providing
objective evidence, and ensuring timely closure.
Overseeing training schedule implementation and conducting onboarding training for new
employees.
• Implementing the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring compliance with
protocols, as well as initiating the organizational implementation of Quality Management System (QMS - ISO 9001) and Environmental Management System (EMS - ISO 14001) by establishing policies and procedures for all activities and operations.
• Conducting training sessions on various topics, including health, safety, and environment (HSE), fire safety, emergency evacuation drills, environmental awareness (water and energy
conservation, waste management, chemical handling), food safety & hygiene, and other
orientation training for all factory employees.
• Ensuring compliance with the Chemical Management System by adhering to the Restricted
Substances List (RSL) and the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) program for all
chemicals used at the facility.
• Conducting DETOX testing along with ZDHC testing for wastewater treatment plants, including inlet and outlet samples, sludge, and groundwater analysis.
• Maintaining a comprehensive chemical inventory with details such as product name, supplier contact information, CAS number, concentration, hazards, quantity used, and stock balance.
• Conducting monthly internal health and safety audits across all departments, including
Warping/Sizing, Weaving, Dyeing, Printing, Finishing, Chemical Main & Sub-store, Cut to
Pack, Embroidery, and Finish Godown, compiling evidence, and generating reports.
• Managing a detailed inventory of solid waste generated from different operations, including
waste type, quantity, sources, hazardous/non-hazardous classification, contractors, and disposal methods.
• Coordinating fire drills every six months in collaboration with the Civil Defense Department of
Kasur (Government of Punjab).
• Ensuring all industrial operations, including coal/gas boilers and wastewater treatment plants
(WWTP), comply with Punjab Environmental Quality Standards (PEQS) and environmental
legislation set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab, Pakistan.
• Conducting environmental monitoring for various parameters, including stack emissions,
ambient air quality, vehicular emissions, indoor air quality, dust analysis, lux levels, noise
monitoring, drinking water analysis, and wastewater analysis, using EPA-approved external
laboratories.
• Overseeing the calibration and inspection of machinery, including cargo lifts, hoists/overhead
cranes, pressure vessels, pressure gauges, and forklift trucks, ensuring compliance with certified
inspection and calibration requirements every six to twelve months.
• Possessing in-depth expertise in environmental regulations, including the Pakistan
Environmental Protection Act (PEPA) 1997 (amended in 2012).
• Conducting management training sessions across all departments on various topics, including
company policies, environmental awareness, and health & safety, both internally and through
external sources.

• Responsibility to comply all the operations of Industry including Coal/Gas Boiler and Waste
Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) with PEQS, guidelines and environmental legislation provided
by Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab, Pakistan.
• Conducting all environmental monitoring e.g. Stack Emissions, Ambient air monitoring,
Vehicular emissions, Indoor air quality, Dust analysis, Lux level, Noise monitoring, drinking
water analysis, waste water analysis etc. from EPA approved external labs.
• Calibration/Inspection of machinery e.g. Cargo lifts, Hoists/overhead cranes, Pressure vessels,
pressure gauges, forklift trucks, is also conducted after every six/twelve months from certified
inspection/calibration laboratory.
• Expertise on environment regarding Pakistan Environment Protection Act 1997 PEPA 1997
(amended 2012).
• Conducting sessions for management training of all departments on different topics such as
Company Policy, Environmental Awareness, Health & Safety, internally and from external
sources.
