A Company fully owned by the Government of China, ranked the 3rd largest in the world (1st according to International Construction) and the 20th largest general contractor in terms of overseas sales, working in Pakistan since 2005.Working as Finance Manager, from November 2016 to date, currently working on Peshawar to Karachi Motorway (PKM) Project, having budget of 294 Billion Rupees, handling a team of accountants consisting of 36 persons, deputed in different field office near construction sites.

Major responsibilities are to;
• Ensure the financial transaction are being executed in accordance with the company policies.
• Ensure financial transactions are being appropriately &timely entered into Accounting & Financial Management System (AFMS).
• Ensure Income Tax and Sales Tax are being deducted in accordance with the laws and regulations as applicable in Pakistan.
• Ensure consolidation of tax data and timely submission of income tax on weekly bases,
• Ensure accurate preparation of different reports for management on weekly bases.
• Liaising with Banks, Auditors, Regulatory Bodies etc.

-Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
-Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
-Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
-Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
-Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
-Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
-Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
-Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
-Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance

Develop risk-based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities.
Design internal audit procedures and work programs.
Advise management on the resourcing requirements for the Internal Audit function, including any potential outsourcing arrangements.
Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures.
Identify key areas of risk within the organisation and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks.
Review the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of financial information and other disclosures provided to
management.
Discuss audit findings and recommendations with line managers and report significant issues to senior management.
Prepare audit reports in line with the approved audit plan.
Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports.
Provide senior management and the Board of Auditors with an opinion on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the internal controls in the organisation.
Assist the development of an internal control culture, including training to staff.
Monitor the trends and developments in the internal audit area.
Conduct ad-hoc investigations and reviews as requested by senior management or the Board of Auditors..
Liaise with the external auditor on internal control issues.
Report on internal control issues and the implementation of the internal audit plan to senior management.

To oversees audit staff during audits and control consulting engagements that evaluate corporate management and operating practices.
Oversees audit planning, field work, and audit reporting; prepares reports, and communicates findings and recommendations to line and senior management.
Review automated audit work papers prepared by the audit staff to ensure sound audit theory and compliance with the department's methodology.
Responsible for the daily supervision of audit staff and responsible for the development of audit staff and the completion of performance evaluations.
Ensures that reviews are completed in compliance with the Corporate Audit Department and Institute of Internal Auditor standards.

• Conducted assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end
• Identification and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
• Supervises junior auditors assigned to engagements providing guidance and overall review of deliverable
• Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk
• Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
• Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented
• Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards
• Communicate assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results
• Organize personal effort along with those of junior auditors to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all times
• Ensure adequate focus on personal professional growth relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, in
line with standard audit career progression - proactively seeks relevant Education and training opportunities
• Performed other related duties as assigned.
