Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Clinic Director as needed.
Weigh patients and take their blood pressure and other vital signs; take patient medical history.
Prepare and drape patients in the examination room. Remain in the room if a male primary care
provider is to perform a pelvic, rectal or breast exam on a female patient.
Perform simple lab tests such as urine dipsticks, finger stick glucose and hemoglobin.
Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the primary care provider.
Assist the primary care provider with procedures (e.g. venipuncture, suturing, I & D, etc.), by
preparing appropriate instruments and sterile field.
Provide patient instruction and educational materials as needed.
Ensure complete and proper documentation of all patient care and instruction in patient medical
records.

NICU / Nursery

Duties and Responsibilities

Basic care such as changing diapers and bedding, neonatal intensive care nurses administer medication and IV fluids and perform oxygen therapy.
Monitoring vital signs including temperature, pulse rate and respiratory rate and providing vital nutrients to newborns.
Neonatal nurses keep detailed records of the care they provide and any change in the babies' condition,
