My role as Translator involved and not limited to:
• Translate all types of materials as assigned
• Conducts performance testing on materials translated to assure optimum performance by individual translator and trainees.
• Utilizing authorized translation (into Arabic) of Hospital vocabulary, job titles, medical. Administrative and technical terminology in current usage at the hospital.
• Maintained records of Arabic Translation of Hospital Manuals, regulations, APPs, job titles and other materials related to Hospital Administration and activities in general to facilitate standardization of Arabic terms. This is to develop terminology commonly used and to facilitate the processing time of translation requests from users.
· Providing complete support for all office activities.
· Acting as personal assistant for Head of Ambulatory Care Services, Appointments & Registrations Department Head staff including scheduling appointments and acting a primary contact for all enquiries.
Drafting departmental memos and typing them.
· Typing all Ambulatory Care reports.
· Compiling statistic reports.
· Taking minutes at 2departmental meetings per month and typing them.
· Assisting with recruitment of new staff, preparing for their arrival (establishing and providing orientation package) and providing general departmental orientation of new staff.
· Point of contact for all dept staff enquires regarding employment, contracts & all other personnel related queries.
· Liaising with Personnel Dept to obtain information of staff queries.
· Submitting leave requests for all staff, follow-up and ensuring completion of the process.
· Liaising with other dept secretaries, doctors, nursing staff, management etc.
· Maintaining knowledge and records of hospital policies & procedures.
· Establishing & maintaining dept filing system.
· Ordering stationary and other items for the department.
· Opening and screening all departments’ mail.
· Maintaining staff personal files and also being sensitive to their confidentiality.
· Striving to provide as much efficiency to the running of the dept
Ensure the smoothness of the workflow in the center, book for all the appointments, and prepare for the tests,
Translating all the written correspondence in English and vice versa to the British administrations, typing memos, follow-up with maintenance, other services etc.
I was interpreting for doctors, nurses, and patients from Arabic to English and vice versa.
I studied for four years in Al Alsun Faculty (Faculty of languages, subjects studied: drama, novels, poetry, conversation, phonetics, poetry etc
