• Assist in developing the Project Quality Management system by establishing procedures, plans and work instructions as needed
• Ensure QA requirements are incorporated into Purchase Order, Quality Procedures and ITP.
• Review of Codes and International standards like ASME Sec-IX, II, VIII Div-1, V, ASME B31.3 & 31.8, API 1104, API 5L etc.
• Promotes quality awareness among field inspectors, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Identify and manage risks that could impact achieving quality objectives.
• Get approval of the Inspection & Test Plan, Quality Control procedures, WPS, and other quality documents from Client.
• Participate in Internal & External QMS audits of client & TPI.
• Review of drawings and client specifications and list out project specific requirements related to material, construction, inspection and testing.
• Ensure proper records and daily logs of QC activities are being maintained for traceability at any stage during project.
• Review of vendor ITP and procedures and obtain Client approval for the same
• Review of Material Test Certificates of Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, Induction Bends, Manual & Actuated Valves and other Piping / Pipeline Materials in accordance with relevant codes, standards and project specific requirements.
• Material receiving inspection of all Piping & Pipeline Materials
• Conduct welding procedure qualification and welder qualification as and when needed.
• Review and maintain records of radiography films of weld joints.
● Ensure that latest revisions of ITPs / procedures / work instructions are available at respective site locations and accordingly all the quality standards are being maintained.
• Assist in preparing Hydro Test packages of Piping and Pipeline System and review the same.
• Pipeline Pigging, Gauging and Hydro testing & Piping Hydro testing Inspection.
• Review of vendor Manufacturing Record Book (MRB / Dossier) and preparation of Project Record Book for client submission
• Participate in client final walk through & ensure closing of all punch points before commissioning.

Projects Handled : Construction of Para-Xylene Unit-4
Scope : Construction of 2.5 Lac Inch Dia. Piping with Installation of 38 Vessels /
Columns / Towers and supporting Piping and Pipe rack Structures

• Study of Technical Specifications to work out project quality requirements.
• Ensure site quality activities are going on as per ITP & Specification requirement.
• Carry out welder qualification and welding procedure qualification for CS, SS, Alloy, NACE and IBR Jobs.
• Check Fit-up, Monitor in-process welding and final weld visual of joints.
• DPT/MT witness after welding and review of radiography films of joints.
• Weld visual of Piping Joints and Pipe supports as per Drawing & Standards.
• Surveillance of painting activities of piping as per project requirement.
• Surveillance of Fire-proofing and insulation work of piping.
• Perform ISO wise Mechanical Clearance and final loop clearance of piping system
• Inspect Hydro test and Pneumatic Test activities of entire loop system.
• Ensure entire loop files and relevant formats are properly filled as per requirements an closing of all punch points before Handing over the final dossier to Operation Team.

New 10’’ underground 22Km Pipeline construction and Manifold Piping

• Prepare and maintain daily welding log book and update welding progress.
• Conduct Welder Performance Qualification witnessed by PDO / TPI.
• Carry out Fit-up inspection and monitor welding parameters during the job.
• Ensure Qualified welder is only deployed to the particular job
• Regular monitoring of consumable storage area. Ensure proper working and calibration of electrode baking, holding and portable oven.
• Carry out final weld visual inspection and offer for TPI witness.
• Witness of DP / MP tests and review of radiography films before offering to TPI.
• Monitor hydro test activity and get it witnessed and cleared by TPI.
• Ensure safety requirements are properly fulfilled before starting of the work and maintain safe working environment.

Inspection involved : Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Spheres, Columns, Reactors, Drums etc

• Study of Drawings and Technical Specifications related to Materials and Welding requirements.
• Conduct Welding Procedure Qualification for various CS, SS, Alloy and Weld Overlay Jobs and taking approval of the same under TPI.
• Preparation of Job wise Weld Test Plan and Weld Map.
• Liaise with Third Party Inspection Agencies regarding welding documents review and approval.
• Selection & Estimation of Welding Consumables job wise.
• Carryout Mock-up Procedure qualification for Tube to Tube sheet Joint of Heat Exchanger Jobs.
• Ensure that copies of approved Weld Test Plan, Weld Map and work procedures are available at respective locations.
• Preparation of Heat Treatment Plan and review of Heat Treatment chart.
• Incoming inspection of welding consumables and Maintain stocks of the same.

Inspection involved : Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Coil & Panels etc

• Studies and reference of ASTM & ASME Standards.
• Detailed study of Equipments GA Drawings, Client Specification and Quality documents
• Preparation of Weld Test Plan and Weld Map for each assigned Job
• Conduct Welding Procedure Qualification & Welder Performance Qualification.
• Liaise with Client and TPI for quality documents review and approval.
• Fit-up & visual Inspection of weld joints
• Maintain Welder Performance records and monitor repair percentage of each welder
