To undertake Inspection activity and witness inspection for FAT
Since completing my assignment with HYUNDAI Engineering & Construction, I am self-employed, undertaking Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Inspection activities for International and Local reputable Inspection companies as Independent witness Inspectors within Malaysia. The scope include attending preinspection meetings (PIM), review of In-house design, test sheets, test reports, type test documents/certificates and Finale Project Inspection on Electrical, Instrument Equipment, and also project Installation within Malaysia for: 1. Abu Dhabi Marine Operation Company (ADMA-OPCO) 2. Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) 3. Dolphin Energy - Qatar 4. Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., (HHI) 5. NPCC-Technip - Abu Dhabi 6. Tecnimont - Combined Oil Refining Unit (COUR) Moscow (Russian Federation)
As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd, (HEC). I was leading a team of design engineers for the rejuvenation and revamp of all electrical facility to the 20years old Gas Processing Plant for PETRONAS GAS BERHAD (PGB), a Malaysia’s National Petroleum Company. The scope of works consist of 4 main plants Gas Processing Plant 2 (GPP2), Gas Processing Plant 3 (GPP3), Gas Compressor Station A (KCSA) and Export Terminal (ET) and required to demolish all existing substation electrical equipment’s and re- engineer, supply, design, test and commission the new system. Such as HV & LV switch-gears, Transformers, Motor control centers, Standby Emergency Generators, Capacitors Banks, Battery and Chargers, UPS, Compressor station, HV & LV Motors, Power and Control cables and other field electrical LCS including earthing system, and supply and install new equipment respectively as per current engineering standard and technology, my scope also includes to maintain health, safety and environment (HSE) standards. I was responsible and accountable for the following activities:
Review, comment, approve design details, and attend progress project meetings on detailed designs drawings submitted by HEC engineering team, sub-contractors and electrical equipment Vendors in line with Petronas Technical (PTS) and International Standard as per scope of works.
To review documents, attend meetings and witness, Inspection Assignment Package (IAP) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) respectively as per approved PTS on Electrical, and Communication scope of works.
To prepare and review electrical equipment selection, Job Method Statement, Job control sheet, Work pack for construction and installation.
To advice sub-contractors on the implementation of construction activities on Electrical, and Communication works with the timely completion, and to coordinate work related issues between sub-contractors and Senior Project Management Team of PGB.
Review and approve all “As Built” submitted drawings on Electrical, and Communication works by sub-contractor and Vendor reflecting the actual works completed as per scope of works and submit to our client PGB.
To ensure that all engineering documents and including vendor data documents are current and completed by the sub-contractor as per contractual requirement and as per PGB requirement.

(2x700MW Coal Fired Power Plant Project, Jimah, Negeri Sembilan) To assist the Project Control Director in running the document control department, to coordinate and prepare the monthly progress reports for the above project and to assist the Head of section to monitor, review, prepare necessary documents for consortium presentation within Taiseis scope of works on the project. To supervise document controllers to maintain and update all files and correspondence between the sub contractors, consortium and within Taisei, to ensure smooth running of the project, not only ensuring traceability but also to ensure all documents used are current.

To prepare, review and implement all site administrative procedures. To review manpower resources, conduct interviews for all levels of staf with the Construction General Manager for the project. To liaison with government and local authorities on various matters pertaining to requirement for the smooth running of the site ofice activities. Review project costing and spread sheets so as not to exceed project cost and budget. To review sub contract documents, propose, and award sub-contract works. And check, propose and approve invoices and payment certificate from sub contractors and vendors.

As Project Manager for multiple company within EPE Group, scope covers me to review engineering drawings, responsible and accountable for the overall Project implementation within budget for utility company Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) within Malaysia and Project Light Rail Transit (LRT) System Two for Kuala Lumpur Electrification Works, and their activity are as follows;

As project engineer responsible for overall supervision of electrical construction, testing and commissioning activities for various projects such as power plants, industrial complex, petrol-chemical plants including HV/LV indoor and outdoor power substation, attend construction coordination meetings with project management staf, vendor and client representatives. Supervision of electrical and instrumentation works involving Engineering, Erection, Testing, Commissioning and Calibration of instrument devices/interpret and review construction drawings and sketches / coordinate electrical and instruments works pertaining to materials, manpower and equipment / liaison with construction team and construction manager/maintain/upkeep construction records for project planning and scheduling/prepare test reports and engineering drawings, design and their activity are as follows: Review the primary design drawings, design calculations, various equipment / material specification, vendor drawings, coordination with various agencies and authorities. Major Projects executed are: Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation works for chemical Plant. - Tioxide Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation works for CD 1&2 and Lubrication Oil Plant. - Shell Refinery, Port Dickson. Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation works for BARDEGG, SELIGI A&B and Dulang C. - Sime Simbawang Engineering
Electrical Supervisor (MMC Gas Secondment) Duties cover repairs and maintenance of Plant electrical equipment, Installation and hook-up of equipment, cable laying, termination, installation of electrical switch gears, cable tray/ladders and wiring for light and heavy vehicles and plant equipments.
Responsible for electrical power distribution works with a team of stafs within the Resort. Scope of duties includes powerhouse and 132/11kV substation, outdoor / Indoor substations, overhead / underground power and control cables works and their termination to LV and HV. Testing and calibration of electrical switch-gears, devices including motors, transformers, panel boards, motor control centre and lighting systems.
Maintenance Engineer - Executive
Accountable and responsible for the maintenance of the plant and it’s equipment, which includes fabrication, modification and installation of equipment, furnace, production machinery, pneumatic press, compressor and pneumatic equipmen
Responsibilities include motor rewinding, conduit installation, cabling, underground and overhead mains, installation and maintenance of motors and switch-gears.
Duties include motor rewinding, installation of conduits, trunking for overhead/underground mains, motors and switch-gears for industrial and domestic facilities/Auto wiring for light and heavy vehicles/supervision of staf and monitoring of work progress.

As a young man after leaving school, I was electrician undertaking motor rewinding, conduit and trunking installation for overhead and underground power system. duties include both for domestic and industrial buildings within Negri Sembilan.
