Key Roles
Partnering with business for the Preparation of monthly latest estimates for procurement and consumption at the beginning of every month Preparation of annual budgets for procurement, consumption, working capital, and other key KPIs partnering with business. Review of monthly stockholding in comparison with targets and partnering with treasury for vendor financing schemes to ensure achievement of working capital targets. Closely working with Marketing and Category teams to generate and implement ideas for optimizing raw material cost and maximizing product margins. Review and support for quarterly book closure activities including inventory provisions, related party disclosures, Liability reviews, etc., and support quarterly external and internal audits.
Preparation of Annual cost budgets and Monthly Latest cost estimates Preparation and analysis of Monthly cost reports and KPIs and communicating insights to stakeholders for analysis and action. . Partnering with business for negotiation of freight rates and ensuring freight costs are within budget. Ensuring control over inventory including co-ordination for stock audits, timely action on transit damages and shortages, clearance of liquidation stock, timely disposal of expired stock etc. Partnering with business for various cost saving initiatives and CFA integration projects. Ensuring performance of internal controls including compliance with SOP, implementing new SOPs where needed, compliance with SOA and monthly tracking of control performance. Ensuring hygiene of SAP cost masters maintained for auto accrual. Validation and approval of POs ensuring to maintain accounting Hygiene.
Key contributions
Implemented a project on GST optimization which resulted in additional ITC of ~ Rs.4 Crores. Initiated and implemented SAP automations including an auto accrual system for expenses resulting in reduced business efforts and improved accuracy in reporting. Part of the project implementing direct dispatch from the production plant delivering annual savings of ~ Rs. 85 Lakhs.
Key Roles
Preparation of various management information reports and analysis of business performance. Preparation of yearly budgets and cash flow projections. Evaluation of capital investment proposals for key metrics and ensuring capital expenditures are within budget. Preparation of new product cost estimates partnering with business and actively partnering with the Marketing team for negotiation with customers. Post implementation review for new projects to identify inconsistencies in cost and initiate corrective actions. Monthly closure of books, GL review, supporting preparation of Quarterly/ Annual financial statements and coordinating for external/internal audits
