• Manage and lead a team of people in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations in the workshop.
• Co-ordinate resources and liaises with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to a quality standard.
BREAKDOWNS:
• Coordinate daily with Equipment Manager and all R&M teams in the region.
• Ensure immediate Initiation of inspection and consecutive repairs by site R&M team.
• Decide on & coordinate with Operation & R&M team for repair shifting.
EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY / UP-TIME / PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
• Disseminate information (schedule) regarding preventive maintenance.
• Ensure that Planning, scheduling and Execution of Preventive maintenance is done properly and timely without effecting site operation.
• Ensure, Manage & coordinate add-stocks procedure & Inventory level for Main workshop and subordinate project workshops.
REPAIRS
• Ensure complaint registration and Inspection check list before commencing repairs.
• Decide Repair plan, Location (in-house or at Outside Vendor shop) and prioritize the job.
• Monitor the overtime closely to reduce the operation cost.
• Coordinate with Equipment Manager and R&M In-charges for updates on Equipment repair status, Expected releasing date (after repairs) and consequent Shifting.
• Ensure that proper job evaluation is done, for 3rd Party outside Repairs and works.
• Ensure adequate pursual for proper repairs and timely facilitation of required items.
MAIN STORE/ MATERIAL PLANNING SECTION/ PURCHASING:
• Arrange, Supervise and control Local Purchase for Urgent requirements.
• Ensure Coordination and expedition for Pending IR, PR, PO and Material Delivery.
• Ensure Coordination and Checks for the quality of spare parts and other material received.
WORKSHOP ADMINISTRATION /OPERATIONS:
• Identify, Prepare, Define & Document standard working procedures for all W/S functions.
• Ensure that Role & Responsibilities of each W/S personnel is clearly documented & defined.
• Ensure Daily Tool Box Talks for Plans and daily activities of the workshop.
• Provide advice and technical assistance to team members as and when required.
• Ensure proper and safe Equipment loading, unloading practices at workshop.
• Ensure Proper Handling & Disposal of discarded Equipment approved by Top Management.
• Visit work sites and concerned workshops in the region on routine basis.
• Ensure proper and timely audits for Policies and standard procedures.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
• Ensure proper Housekeeping and correct handling of tools, instruments & machines at W/S.
• Ensure availability of PPE, First Aid Box, designated first aides, fire fighters & ambulance.
• Have MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) & CSDS (Chemical Safety Data Sheet) in Place and designated Locations for Oils and other hazardous materials.
• Identify and classify Hazardous & non-Hazardous materials and Waste Material and exercise Proper Waste collection and disposal scheme.
• Ensure 3rd Party Certification for Lifting Equipment and Calibration of tools and Instruments.
• Ensure that the equipment, after repair and at the time of delivery, has no repairs or part replacement pending that will compromise Equipment or user safety during operation
MANPOWER MANAGEMENT/ HR/ ADMINISTRATION
• Make recommendations regarding the recruitment, discipline and promotion of employees.
• Conduct routine Performance Appraisal and Advises employees on work related problems.
• Coordinate with HR & Admin Dep’t for manpower’s issues viz. Accommodation, Leaves, Illness/treatment, Vacation, Missed Salary, Increments, Transportation & Medical/Iqama etc.
• Ensure to have proper track of Workshop Manpower arrivals, deployment and Transfers.
• Ensure forwarding of manpower attendance and OBS on time.
Reporting
• Ensure Timely Preparation and Reporting of all daily/ Weekly/ Monthly and quarterly Reports.
