Recently, I have been working as a key onsite engineer for one of the most prominent Cable & Internet provider in the US, where I support customer on their IP & Wireless Core/Access Networks. The Key Components that I handle on a daily basis include
Wireless LAN Controllers (8510 & 5508)
Access Points (1572, 1552, 1522, 1133)
Intelligent Services Gateway (ISG) on ASR1K
Local Mobility Anchor (LMA) on ASR5500
Access Switches/ Routers (Nexus 3K, ASR9K, Nexust 5K)
Carrier Grade NAT (CGN) Routers
Since the summer of 2007, I have been working as a trusted advisor/ Senior Network Consultant for Cisco where I consulted Cisco's Service Provider customers in Emerging Markets (LATAM, AFRICA, SOUTH ASIA) & EMEA.
I have been working with mobile operators and service providers in these regions delivering WiMAX networks, Video COntent delivery networks, Carrier Ethernet Networks, RAN networks and 3G/4G Packet Core Networks. My involvement start with design workshops, then design and implementation and finally testing and hand over. I also consult the customer through the period of projects for any of their queries and manage customer expectations to ensure that the customer satisfaction is maintained at the target level of my employer.
My Skills include Enterprise Networking (as I did work for Citibank in EMEA & US for 5+ years), and Service Provider Networking ( Mobile packet Core/Access ), Cable Providers (Video Content Delivery & Carrier Ethernet Networks). Mobile Technologies include WiMAX, LTE EPC, UMTS & Related RAN Access (IPRAN) technologies.
I hold CCIEs in Routing & Switching, Service Provider & Wireless since 2005. Hold a series of internal certifications, Expert levels in Video & Mobility, Specialist levels in Carrier Ethernet, Data Centre etc. Currently working on CCIE Wireless.
I Graduated with Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Manchester Business Schoole(University of Manchester) and looking forward to move technical lead/management roles where I can handle things not only with my technical expertise but from P&L perspective as well. All my electives have been in Finance side which emphasise that my interest is strongly in managing the finance which is basically key success of all businesses. I strongly believe an technical geek with some financial insight can be the best possible weapon for any IT company.
Started in Year 2002 as a Network Engineer for Citigroup doing Network Engineering design and implementations for Central Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa Region. I held this position in Bahrain, Middle East
In Jan 2004, I was absorbed by Citigroup in the capacity of Network Engineer/Manager and worked for entire 52 countries in EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa), overseeing various huge network designs/implementations for Citigroup. Recognising my efficiency in this capacity, I was promoted to Asst. Vice President grade.
Thereafter, I moved to hold a Sr. Engineer/AVP position in Global Network Engineering Team based off United States. In this position, I currently oversee large-scale data centre migrations from Citigroup branch perspective and also work heavily on Cisco, Juniper and various Telecom Vendors to create standards for Citigroup spread over 100 countries. This job, covered almost all timezones across the globe.
As a network engineer, doing product presentations and post-sales implementations for Fibertronic Customers in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Hold various certifications in Cisco since Year 2001, this includes, CCNA, CCNP and a CCIE Lab certification in Routing and Switching.
