PROJECT: MINISTRY OF INTERIOR HEADQUARTERS, Doha - Qatar
The Company is engage in power transmission & distribution network projects contracting, trading of gauging instruments and control equipment, erection of electrical equipment and materials, electro-mechanical work projects contracting, delivering onshore and offshore oil and gas fields services and subcontracting for the 132 KV Underground Power Cable Circuit connections between 400/132/22 KV Grid Stations and Substations of TRANSCO - Abu Dhabi Transmission and Dispatch Company in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Responsibilities:
- Supervised 132kV power cable laying and jointing, SF6 sealing end termination and GIS CHB insertion, link box and grounding system installation, electrical and AC high voltage testing, and fiber optics cable laying, splicing, OTDR testing and commissioning.
- Implemented quality control and monitor compliance of project health and safety policy in coordination with consultant as per contract requirement.
- Prepared weekly project progress reports.

The Company is the main Contractor for the construction, modification, upgrading and reinforcement of 132/33kV Substations for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Operating Areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- Submitted Project Time Schedule, Table of Organization, Location Plan, Health, Safety and Environment Plan (HSE), Quality Control Plan, Design Calculations, Specifications, Plans and Drawings for civil, electrical and mechanical structures, equipment and materials and Method Statements for Installation for SEC approval as per contract requirement.
- Ensured on time procurement of materials and equipment and their availability for site inspection and construction schedule achievement.
- Managed, supervised and/or directed all project construction activities relative to manpower, materials and equipment in coordination with Project Staff Members to comply as per approved drawings.
- Implemented Quality Control System and Safety Program.
- Calculated actual quantities of executed works on site for invoicing.

Responsibilities:
- Implemented standard operating procedure of generating units, substation and switchyard equipment, and auxiliaries.
- Coordinated with National Power Corporation regarding start - up and shutdown, loading and trouble reporting, system operation, routine preventive/corrective maintenance works and safety procedure of generating units.
- Supervised main control switchboard operation, operated communication equipment, and tended generator and transmission line protection panels and fire alarm system.
- Analyzed and evaluated hourly meter readings, operating parameters, and status and conditions of systems.
- Prepared and submitted daily and monthly operational, statistical and trouble reports.
Achievements:
- Successfully met the 820, 000 kilowatt-hours daily gross generation requirement.

- In charge of safe, reliable and efficient operation of alternating current generators, substation and switchyard equipment, and auxiliaries.
- Undertook operating orders/load schedules, equipment inspection, testing and routine preventive maintenance work orders of generating units, substation and switchyard equipment and auxiliaries received from National Power Corporation and preliminary analysis on operational problems and troubles.
- Supervised main control switchboard operation, observance of safety procedure, good housekeeping and energy conservation, and consolidation of meter readings, observations and pertinent data.
- Coordinated with operation personnel regarding start - up and/or shutdown, system operation and corrective/preventive maintenance work orders of generating units and power plant equipment.
- Submitted daily and monthly operational, statistical and trouble reports.

- Economically delivered annual gross generation of 360 million kilowatt-hours.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING is a five (5) - year course. BASIC ENGINEERING is the first two (2) years where subjects in mathematics such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, Differential and Integral Calculus, Chemistry and Physics are enrolled. The last three (3) years is categorized in two (2): In GENERAL ENGINEERING, subjects such as Surveying, Heat Engineering, Engineering Geology and Machinery Foundation, Hydraulics, National Electrical Code, Code of Ethics, and Laws on Obligation and Contracts are taken. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING is the field of specialization where subjects in Electrical Circuits and Transients, Fundamental Calculations on Electrical Machinery, Equipment and Systems, Basic Electronics and its application to Industry and Communication and incorporated with subjects in mathematics such as Ordinary Differential Equations, Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Vectors and Complex Quantities, and Atomic and Nuclear Physics are studied.
