This project deals with the wealth management department of United Bank Of Switzerland, USA. It is a development project which belongs to BFS domain. It has several modules like Liabilities, Mortgage management and security based Lending. The source data mainly resides either in UNIX or in Mainframes environment. Informatica mappings are developed from scratch to load the data into different facts and dimensions as per the requirements. In some other requirements, jobs are already in place those load data into some dimensions and later those data are used for loading some other tables. Business Object reoprts are now being prepared on the top of our data mart.
This is a pure development project, coming under BTGS Data warehousing platform. The data from the UNIX environment is received via flat files in particular oracle directories where housekeeping strategy is applied to retain the files for a particular period of time. The older files are deleted based on business rules(with help of config files).
Then data is loaded to the oracle base tables using external tables, called as data reception area(DRA). Then Informatica mapping is applied to the DRA tables where some of the business rules are applied. Further data is loaded into common data mart where it is arranged as per business needs (Tables like organization, currency, supplier, billaccount etc.). Here the latest data is present.
PL/SQL packages are developed to move the data from Common Data Model to the data mart where the fact and dimension tables are created. Huge amount of data is stored in the fact tables(e.g. SALES data, call usage data ETC.) and the dimension tables store key information like customer data, supplier data, date information, organization data, billingaccount data etc.
This project was a sort of maintenance and enhancement kind of project. Initially during the development phase there were certain limited features but with the growing demand of the market some new features needed to be implemented along with providing support to the existing ones. During the course of this project our team had develop some new features with the existing architecture which was a bit challenging job but we did it successfully and delivered in time, which was highly appreciated by the client.
This is a Client/Server through network based Authentication secured system. Our client offers tax calculation services throughout UK. The process, which has been previously manually carried, is now being done via the web.
The customers can add. edit, delete, the customer's staff salary details via the Client/Server and once processed the customers can login and Processes the info electronically. Further more their admins can login into the system and execute their functions specified information and data, which have been assigned to them which was been allotted by Superadmin.
