As a Technical Advisor or Network Architect, my daily work would require combining design skills and business knowledge with strong technical expertise. my responsibilities might include the following:
Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operations.
Work with technical management to architect networks that effectively reflect business needs, service-level and availability requirements, and other technology parameters.

Establish governing principles for network design and deployment.
Participate in selection of networking technologies and products for implementation
Lead projects and approve LLD/HLD designed by vendors or contractors in developing detailed designs and quality-control mechanisms during implementation.
Communicate the role and value of the network to the organization and present the business case for technology investments.
Continually update understanding of business and technology status and objectives and respond to strategic design requests as the business evolves.
I was working in a Cisco Gold Partners company in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia.
• Planning, designing, analyzing & preparing solutions for unified data centre services, Cisco unified computing, Cisco nexus, local & global load balancing, email & web security, network Security, wireless, network management, application networking services, routing, switching, application Security etc
• Conduct site surveys for new & existing data centers and evaluate & develop new requirements for site preparations, physical infrastructures & active infrastructures.

I was a Resident Consultant at the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCIT) project. I am in the core team of the Network Operations for Datacenter 24/7. My responsibilities are:

• Deployment of WiMAX base stations, subscriber units(CPE), P-T-P microwave links by using Redline’s products

POST SALES ROLE:
• Installation & Configuration of Cisco CallManager along with the features and services which mainly include Inbound/Outbound Calling, Calling Restrictions, Call Pickup Groups, Call Parking, Auto-Attendant, Direct Inward Dialing, Direct Outward Dialing through FXO, etc.
• Installation & Configuration of Cisco IPCC Express and its Integration with CCM. Basic IVR scripting.
• Installation and Configuration of Cisco CallManager Express. Configuration of Calling Restrictions, Inbound/Outbound calls using Dial-Peers, and Auto-Attendant. Configuration of Cisco 1800/2600/2800/3800 Series Routers/Voice Gateways, 2950/3550/3560/4500 Series Switches.
PRESALES ROLE:
• Designing of IP Telephony & Internetworking Solution which includes Network Infrastructure Design of Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Wireless solutions, Cisco CallManager, Cisco IPCC, Cisco Unity, Cisco IP Phones, etc.
• We also do Presales for BlueCoat, McAfee, Symantec which includes their Planning & Designing of the solution which normally integrates with our Cisco solutions.
I have worked in Cisco's Premier Partner Company.
My major responsibilities included:
• Desiging the infrastructure & Configuration of 2950/3550/3560 Access Switches and 1700/1800/2800/3800 Series Routers and PIX Firewalls, ASA 5500 series, CallManager 3.x, 4.x, IPCC, MCS Servers 7800 series, IP Phones 7900 series etc.
• Proposing the solution including the quotation of Cisco equipment as per customer requirements.
• I have attended the SANOG8 workshop, tutorials & conferences held in July-August 2006.
PROJECT DURING THE JOB
We have made an advanced Tele-Banking Solution. The project implementation included:
• Network connectivity between three sites via Frame-Relay using Cisco routers and frame-relay switch. We used multi-area OSPF, EIGRP & BGP routing protocols for routing & redistrubute them.
• The Router also acted as a Voice Gateway having Voice Interface Card i.e Foreign Exchange Office Card on which the call is landed from PSTN to be forwarded to CallManager for further call routing.
• Installation & Configuration of Cisco CallManager which was responsible for call processing. Also configured Cisco IP Contact Centre for self service banking using IVR script. We made customized scripts for the IVR flow using the CRS Editor available with IPCC.
This project acted as Final Year Project of my Engineering.
