CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: ➢ Responsible for rolling out the new projects of IT - Data Core (IP/Security)
➢ Manage, operate and optimize current network topology & services running on Cisco routers (76xx, 72xx, 38xx, 28xx) and Cisco switches (65xx, 445xx, 37xx, 36xx)
➢ Basic Firewall FWSM, PIX-535 and ASA- 5585-X / 5540 configurations.
➢ Configuring and managing IPSec Site-to-Site and remote access VPNs on Cisco ASA and VPN Concentrator.
➢ Planning, design, and implementation of the enterprise network architecture including Data Center and Access Sites to meet current and future needs.
MAJOR PROJECTS: ➢ IPSec VPN setup migration - Project goal was migration the current P2P IPSec VPN setup to upgraded hardware installed at primary data centre. These VPNs are established with third party business partners running revenue generating services.
➢ Data Centre Migration - This project included network planning and design for DR site during the migration phase. Plan included dislodging of physical equipment, un-mounting, packing and transportation. Reassembly of equipment on new site and restoration of network services at new Data Centre with minimum services degradation.
➢ Enterprise Core Network Upgrade - Equipment upgrade of core data centre devices from EOL/EOS hardware to newly acquired boxes with minimum/partial outage of enterprise services.
