Responsible for all media production for the agency.
Provided academic support to students in the form of coaching, tutoring, or mentoring, delivering individual and group tutoring sessions to students. Collaborated with students to develop their academic skills, both in general and in the online classroom environment. Provided assistance with study skills such as reading, note-taking, organization and time management. Assisted with social media efforts, such as giving input on strategy and programs, providing development and maintenance of online social media contact. Established relationships with students and employees involved in the community.
Launched an online tutoring system (Online Writing Lab) aimed at expanding the reach of the writing center beyond its regular location and hours, providing more services for students across the university.
Researched and presented a study at the MENAWCA Conference held in Oman in April 2016 regarding the benefits of executing an online tutoring system.
Arranged and presented academic success workshops in Arabic and English.
Supervised and managed the writing center’s student peer tutors.
Edited and assembled final visual/audio program material, recording and editing audio in order to supplement the videos. Collaborated and met with the program coordinator and client to define and conceptualize the status and progress of the project. Ensured consistency and relevancy to production, monitoring the technical quality of the end product. Tested all equipment to determine the technical quality of recording, audio, and lighting prior to operation. Oversaw the operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing. Ensured operation of audiovisual equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
