•Review of Inspectors Daily Reports
•General oversight of Inspector s daily activities including works assignments, on-site performance and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor s operations
•Review and Comment/Approve of the Contractor s Shop Drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer
•Review and assist the Resident Engineer to provide approvals/comments to the Contractor s technical submittals (Method Statement, Material, shop drawings ... etc.) as delegated by the Resident Engineer
•Coordination with Contractor s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
•Ensure high quality of works during the construction period, strict compliance with the Employer s Requirements, Projects Specifications and Safety Requirements
•Assessment of the Contractor s compliance to the quality management System as specified in the latest applicable standards.
•Review of Contractor s Design for compliance with Employers Requirements, Authority Requirements, End-User Requirements and Local and International Standards.
•Review and provide necessary comments/approval to the Contractor s technical submittals including but not limited to calculations, drawings, material etc.
•Submit to the Resident Engineer daily, weekly reports with details of the progress of fabrication, construction, testing of components, parts and assemblies, and status of materials procurement. Any non-conformity and malpractice found shall also be reported.
•Evaluate Contractor's personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
•Monitor progress of all project participants.
•Participate in project construction meetings.
•Review the as-built drawings, in coordination with inspectors and surveyors
•Witness the laboratory tests and verify test results.
•Report non-conformances by the Contractor, if observed, while the Contractor executes his scope of services
•Be an active member of the project leadership team including interaction with the Client.
•Set, manage and control delivery of all contract elements and objectives including scope, quality, budgets, schedules, stakeholder interfaces, Communication /reporting, environmental and Health and Safety.
•Clearly convey instructions to staff members in order to achieve the project goals.
•Maintain the RE informed of all developments which may affect the project so that these can be dealt with immediately.
•Must be technically sound to interpret survey and engineering submittals to channelizeand solve problems expeditiously.
•Take the required measures to identify slippage in the Contractors activities early so that immediate recovery actions can be taken by the contractor.
Use extensive relevant construction experience to proactively anticipate and prevent problems before they arise.
Qatar Expressway & Beutification Programme
QaProject: Qatar expressway Programme (Extension of E-RING Road)
Project consists of 9 KM 8 Lane Expressway Along with ramp roads, service roads, temporary diversion roads.
Report to the RESIDENT ENGINEER Roads.
• Review method statement, ITP ‘S, QA/QC Plan, project drawings, meetings with clients and other authorities to resolve project issues.
• Carry out daily inspections of all road works and sign off the relevant part of the contractor’s RFI’s in a timely manner.
• Raise any safety issues with the Safety OFFICER and also keep the Resident Engineer informed.
• Conduct site inspections for new projects including civil work, utilities, storm sewers and concrete structures and paving and franchised utility work; record general and detailed conditions by reports, photography verify compliance with proposed plans and specifications.
• Review the IFC Drawing, Approved ITP and Method Statement in connection with the Work activity to be inspected.
• Monitoring the Quality of the work activities and issue NCR/SOR for any defects observed.
• Monitoring the overall safety arrangements at site of works and inform immediately any unsafe Conditions prevail.
• Assist in the preparing and submitting the Daily Report for the day work. Keep daily records of all utilities work
• Carry out daily inspections of all road works and sign off the relevant part of the contractor’s RFI’s in a timely manner.
• Monitoring and administering the QA/QC Plan or Programme and ensuring incorporated materials on construction projects are in compliance with the plans specifications. Checking installation of all utility equipment
• Witnessing and inspecting all testing and commissioning of utilities.
• Maintain standards of safety and comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements.
• Follows and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
tar Expressway Programme(E Rong road project)
CLIENT :ASGHAAL QATAR.
PROJECT DESCRIPITION:
Project consists of largest expressway covering ALRAYYAN STADIUM DOHA currently ongoing in world 14 lane 7 lane divided on each side.UTilities work included 90 km TSE GRP line, 40 km storm water alongwith manholes, gullies, catchpits, potable water line, sewer line relocation, all type of croosing ducts.
PROJECT CONSISTS OF MAIN EXPRESSWAY ALONG WITH FULL PHASEUTILITIES WORKS SUCH AS ELECTRIC HV & LV, QATER PETROLUM LINE, TELECOM, SSD DUCTS, STORM WATER/SURFACE DRAIANGE/ ALONG WITH MANHOLES/GULLY CHANNELS ETC.
FOLLOWING RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDED
-Report to the RESIDENT ENGINEER(Roads & Utilities).
- Keep daily records of all Road construction activities such as Eathwork, Subgrade, Subbase asphalt etc. and utilities work Such as Sewer, Storm water, cable ducts, and QATAR petroleum.
- Carry out daily inspections of all utility work and sign off the relevant part of the contractor’s RFI’s in a timely manner.
- Raise any non conformances or poor workmanship with the Utilities Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Raise any safety issues with the Safety OFFICER and also keep the Resident Engineer informed.
-Review and evaluate specifications and drawings prior to project pre-construction meetings; prepare and assemble pre-construction questions and suggestions for review..
-Conduct site inspections for new projects including civil work, utilities, storm sewers and concrete structures and paving and franchised utility work; record general and detailed conditions by reports, photography verify compliance with proposed plans and specifications.
-Coordinate completion of projects; insure completion of all project paperwork; coordinate and undertake one-year inspection with contractors and City representatives.
-Prepare, review and update a variety of reports including daily project reports, monthly PAY estimates and project status reports; attend staff meetings as required.
CLIENT :MINISTRY OF HOUSING:
PROJECT DESCRIPITION:
THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF MAIN EXPRESSWAYS, ROADS, EARTHWORKS, CULVERTS, SEWERAGE, STORM WATER(DIA 2500 mm & 1000mm), POTABLE WATER PIPELINE ALONG WITH MANHOLES, GULLY CHANNELS ETC.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to the following:
• Monitoring all site construction and inspection work when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE).
• Directly coordinating with the contractors regarding project activities such as the construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client’s requirements
• Reviewing operational process and installations to ensure that the subcontractors comply with the design, standards and specifications of the contract documents
• Ensuring the subcontractors comply with operational and safety standards
• Assisting to identify, respond to or evaluate field construction technical issues to maintain the schedule
• Verifying field measurements
• Providing documentation relating to changes in contract work
• Reviewing and supervising subcontractor daily and weekly inspection reports
• Assisting in compiling Bill of Quantity (BoQ) reports for monthly pay estimates
• Participating in weekly design review meetings with Civil Engineering team
CLIENT;MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT:
The Project consists of 50 Km Highway (CUT/FILL) along with 25 Culverts (Pipe/Box), Earthworks, Slope Protection walls, Pipeline Drainage, UTILITES SUCH AS TEELCOM, ARAMCO & Channel.
• Evaluates and reports site progress and any necessary modifications of drawings/documents.
• In charge of site safety plans and programmes.Adopt best safety practices for site works. Observe site safety plans regularly.
• Direct and participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades and elevations to guide construction.
• Keeps Project Manager informed of project-related issues encountered on RFI’s / Submittals that may impact project cost and schedules.
• Follow-up with Consultant’s site representative for inspection and approval of completed work on regular basis and maintain records.
• Prepare BOQ’S, Plans, Profiles, Shop drawings of project by consulting Design Engineer/Quantity Surveyor.
