Contractually responsible for the operational performance of Baggage and Material Handling Systems at Dubai Airports
Sustains high levels of customer satisfaction and workforce morale to support continuous growth for the organization
Directs, leads, develops and coaches a team of 800+ staff (Engineers, Supervisors, Operators, Administrators) to deliver/achieve targets
Manages the overall profitability, execution and performance of the team
Manages work streams and business processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy of information in-coordination with other projects / departments
Analyzes and audits the effectiveness of business operations and makes changes to improve performance
Drives continuous improvement and implementation of best practices.
Assists in review and interpretation of contract terms and conditions and ensures that contractual obligations are achieved
Resolves swiftly all operational and service issues impacting customer satisfaction
Ensures compliance with legal requirements and conducts business with the highest ethical standards
Monitors and enforces compliance of all contractors to key contractual elements relative to project controls contractors by setting KPI (key performance indictors)
Evaluates staff (performance targets, feedback, developments, etc) in coordination with Human Resource
Reviews tenders and proposal approvals for new service projects with in the region
Shares knowledge globally by extending support to relevant services globally
Plan, monitor and control system performance in terms of operations and maintenance for Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports for baggage and material handling
Plan and analyze the resource availability with respect to contractual requirement
Performed investigation of incidents or accidents that had impact on operations
Worked in close coordination with the Operations Manager
Propose and plan trainings for staff development
Execute requirements resulting in the implementation of quality management system of the airport, in the agreed and defined terms
Prepare fallback procedures to minimize risk to operation with provided support ensuring smooth operation
Perform monthly /quarterly internal audits along with the Maintenance Manager
Developed and provided necessary training for UAE Nationals/ Engineers/Trainees/Students
Periodical maintenance review ensuring enhancement in the maintenance regime
Optimize operational resources by increasing staff efficiency at work
Analyze resource performance and implement measures for better outcome by organizing trainings, providing feedbacks and conducting on-job drills
Forecast demand and accordingly plan resources to ensure 24/7 smooth operations
Plan, monitor and control overall services and resources of cigarette packaging machines
Develop standardized operations and maintenance procedures
Analyze and improve the system throughput
Strive to achieve the contractual KPI
Periodically propose maintenance estimation
Responsible for operational emergency escalations
Ensure appropriate action and performance of repairs
Prepare for audits
Ensure that all safety and quality standards
Recruit and train staff as and when required
The Master of Engineering Management enabled me to successfully integrate technical and management skills, while optimising the use of personnel, resources, equipment and information to execute engineering projects. The program challenged me to analyse, diagnose and execute strategic judgment in order to identify issues and devise innovative solutions to complex organisational problems. I learned how to use a range of technical applications and computational tools to support the decision making process in complex business and industrial environments
